Deck Description

As always, likes and comments/suggestions are appreciated!

Flavor text: "Leave but a shred of root and it will return, bursting with vigor."

This is my take on a 'Dredgevine' deck. The idea of this to quickly get creatures into your graveyard and then bring them onto the battlefield through various effects, then mauling your opponent. >:)

How to Play

Satyr Wayfinder serves two purposes; the first of which is to hopefully grab an additional land, and the second is to get cards, specifically creatures, into your graveyard. Faithless Looting also serves for additional draw and getting cards into your graveyard.

The creatures that you want to have in your graveyard are: Vengevine, Gravecrawler and Bloodghast.

Lotleth Troll serves as another card that can get the above mentioned creatures from your hand into your graveyard when he is on the battlefield. Discarding those cards will also make him stronger. Tasigur, the Golden Fang serves as another creature that can get cards from your library into your graveyard and can also be used to return a nonland permanent of your opponents choice from the graveyard to your hand.

Bloodghast returns from the battlefield when a land comes into the battlefield, and you can abuse this effect further with fetch lands. Unfortunately, his trigger ability does not count towards getting Vengevine from the graveyard. Gravecrawler can be cast from the graveyard for the low cost of 1 black mana, and each Vengevine can come into the battlefield if you've cast 2 creature spells in the same turn. This isn't very hard to do with this deck.

You'll never pay the full cost for Angler, and rarely with Murderous Cut, as you should be able to get plenty of cards in your graveyard to use their delve effect to make them very cheap.

Abrupt Decay gives you a means to destroy unwanted cheap CMC permanents of your opponents, and Lightning Bolt can be used to either remove creatures within burn range or, more frequently, give you an extra kick with additional damage to your opponent.

Simple deck; both fast and devastating under most circumstances. As always, I hope you enjoy this deck!

Deck discussion for From the Grave

Not sure if you're interested in exiling further creatures from the graveyard, but if you are check out corpsweft. It could potentially be a win condition card. I really like this deck!

Corpseweft is an interesting card but ultimately I don't think it's worth it for this deck. Glad you like it and thanks for the feedback! :)

I see how you would want to use Tymaret for it's utility but I thinkit's just to costly for what your getting out of it. Tasigur, the Golden Fang would be a better choice IMO. It has a much better body (doesn't die to bolt) and would end up creating more beneficial situations. +1 from me tho, nice deck.

Yeah I agree with that. Changed out Tymaret for Tasigur, and also changed out the Grisly Salvage for Kolaghan's Command. Thanks for your feedback and glad you like the deck! :)
