Deck Description

Burn Damage! Mixed with a some Quickly playable Creatures, as well as ramping up towards the big guys!

How to Play

Just a quick deck i have built, i am a little limited on supplies so its not to its fullest. Nor could I build a good sideboard. Just throw burn damage at your opponent(s), while ramping to get the stroger Creatures out. That simple

Deck discussion for R/G Aggro-Control

If your actually serious with this one, you should really focus it better. Though I think you already know this.

Nope, not really lol, just getting into magic. I need more cards first of all, when i get some, do you have any recommendations?

Oh yes then, for starters by "focusing the deck" I mean take out 1 and 2 ofs to try and fit the more necessary and fluid cards into it. Like for instance, Scrapyard Mongrel is a 4 mana 3/3 with an artifact based ability. Since you are not running artifacts, this card is weak and something better could fit in the 4 mana slot. A way I found to help a lot with this is to playtest, and think in particular what cards would come in handy above other cards in different scenarios.

You also may want to up the lands to 22-23, this deck appears that it wants to be particularly consistent in land drop, especially with low mana accelerant.

If you want to keep the burn/creatures aspect, I suggest you get me of your Satyr Firedancer. I personally love the card, and it makes your burn relevant to both creatures and players.

On a side note, MTG doesn't have to be expensive, as long as you know what your doing ^^ (but it helps to splurge a bit lol)

Sweet thanks! One more thing, if i replace any thing what should it be? Like get rid of scrapyar mongrel and maybe a few other, but what are some good cards to replace thoughs with that is standard legal? and im making modifications to the land right now. Thanks in advance!

Alright, i made a little bit of modifications just one more question. If i were to replace anymore cards besides scrapyard mongrel, what do you think they would be? and what would be good replacement cards? Thanks in advance!

It depends on if budget matters to you or not. This deck could probably use some Sylvan Caryatid, but I can't justify the cost on cards like that.

A nice SB card would be Destructive Revelry, as it helps against quite a bit in Theros and adds to your burn theme.

Polis Crusher is also another favorite of mine at 38 cents, it kind of fits in with control aspect depending on who your playing against. (Good to replace the Scrapyard Mongrel :D)

Either Xengos god or Planeswalker could fit in here, though they could a bit more expensive. The god is actually affordable if you can get the deck to work well with him, planeswalker on the other hand is probably better but 3x the cost.

Anger of the Gods may help, though I don't know the current meta so I don't know how relevant it would be.

Arbor Collosus is also really good against certain people, but either way it's good for the mana cost and the money cost.

I could go on, but meh. Just do a card search on this site for red and green exclude other colors and search standard legal only. Be way though, I think this site still includes Return to Ravnica as standard.

Last note - If your running a burn package and keep the Satyr Firedancers, make sure your burn can target them directly. Preferably both so you have options. And try to keep it at 60 cards if you can, it's just better that way.

Thanks again for the insight, i will surely bring this deck up to speed, and budget is preferable but not out of question. So if a planeswalker will fit nicely ill get one :), thanks again

Boon Satyr
Bow of Nylea
Fanatic of Mogis would be a decent 3 drop.
Chandra Pyromaster
Stoke the Flames would be perfect here, but it's probably the most expensive uncommon in standard.
Crater's Claws
Dictate of the Twin Gods
Elvish Mystic is pretty much THE 1 drop mana accelerant.
Ember Swallower could be interesting if you can function without the lands and they can't.
Fated Conflagration is a good burn card here, especially if you can get it off with the Satyr.
Fated Intervention is also good. Neither of these are expensive either.
Fellhide Spiritbinder possibly.
Flame-Wreathed Phoenix could be really good.
Forgestoker Dragon as a bomb.
Garruk's Packleader if you've got the power.
Generator Servant
Genesis Hydra
Heroe's Bane I really like for 40 cents.
Hooded Hydra. Though I've never played with it.
Hunt the Weak as psuedoremoval.
Hydra broodmaster ( you should probably get a good finisher her too, any hydra will do.)
Karametra's Acolyte... maybe
Leafcrown Dryad if your needing 2 drops.
Life's Legacy can easily put you in the lead with card advantage, Great card if your willing to sac to it.
Magma Jet because scry is awesome.
Miscutter Hydra against pesky blue decks
Nessian Asp if you have it lying around, otherwise I would just get something better.
Nessian Wilds Ravager :D
Nissa's Expedition if you have enough for low drops for convoke.
Nissa Worldwaker. Amazing but I'm not paying for it.
Nylea if you can animate her, otherwise nah.
Paragon of Eternal Wilds if you can get your hands on planeswalker Xenagos and spawn the tokens, it's pretty good.
Pheres-Band Raider also works with Paragon
Polukranos... I don't get why he's so costly. I don't even like him, but you may want to playtest. Could see something I didn't.
Purphoros could fit the theme here perfectly.
Snake of the Golden Grove if the life gain is relevant to you.
Soul of Shandalar
Soul of Zendikar
Stormbreath Dragon. 20 dollars.
Tormenting Voice maybe?
Voyaging Satyr for more ramp
Wall of Mulch to stall and draw

These are all the cards that would be relevant to your deck. Left notes aside some of them. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
