So I was in a draft and I drew mimic vat + skinrender + bleak coven vampires in a row. When that happened, i new I was making black arti. Then i got stuff such as memnite, instill infection, grasp of darkness, etc. Here is the better version and I would love feedback. I will link you the draft of this, and yes, I managed to draft a mono color deck.

i love budget deck and and love it more that its mono colored. another fun combo with mimic vat is precursor golem and you'll get two golem per turn! and with all those black mana and artifact you should consider adding phylactery lich. i think he'll work well with all those artifact to hold his soul..

A culling dais and Golem Foundry would be nice additions to the deck, Culling Dais for drawing cards, and countering mind controls, and Golem Foundry because 3/3 Golem tokens are always nice.
I didn't think of culling dais actually, but its perfect considered the tokens get eliminated anyway. Thank you and will add!
you should include some dark ritual because some of you creature are a little high cost
I'm kinda trying to keep this as a standard deck...it is a good suggestion and when this deck becomes non-standard I will try it ^^
i think its a type II deck that's why there is no dark ritual. owh and mono black needs sign in blood! its great hahaha
Thats basically the replica...except the replica can be used for the vampire's metalcraft in case i don't need the draw.
another awesome combo is Wurmcoil Engine on a mimic vat, prototype portal and a ratchet bomb.
I actually tried prototype portal and it didn't work very well.
Wurmcoil Engine doesn't produce tokens when its used with Mimic Vat. Mimic Vat doesn't send the copies to the graveyard, it just exiles them.
Haha I know. Why do you think there are culling dais? and i can use doomblades or other stuff to get the tokens :P
alot of those cards arent any good outside of draft Im afraid It looks like the beginnings of a pretty good mono black control deck though
okay since u thrash talk my build here im going to gave u some constructive feedback man. the combo is nice but u really don't need the chalice my suggestion is go with sweepers example consume the meek or ratchet bomb or carnifex demon. for tutor seriously consider liliana instead coz ive play tested a lot with liliana and tutor and liliana is a more gay compared to tutor. memnite should be swap with fume spitter coz it will help feed your vat,clasp and kill alot of early winnies such as vampires and mana producing creature such as elf or cobra. put in also tectonic edge to kill of man lands and elderazi land fetcher. for the side board seriously just copy from mine...http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=134461
@TheNightAngel You do realise mimic vat has been a staple of mono black control since its release with SOM? you are by no means original for putting it in a mono black deck and accusing someone of copying your ideas just makes you obnoxious.
OK, so, for my apology check the next comment...again i am sorry. Now for your feedback: Carnifex Demon is definetely in there!!!! I've personally had very bad experience with lilliana, and while it is good, it doesn't really fit in how I see the deck...I will try to trade for it and test it. Fume spitter: was originally in there and i took it out for 2 more memnites for the vampires ability. I may put in 2 more, but really, contagion clasp does the job just as well. Vat + it would be cool and so I will add in 2 for now but I will playtest it see how it works. I already got enough kill stuff, don't need consume imo
I don't agree about taking out the chalices, and i don't agree with your sideboard for this deck...i'll keep looking for sideboard cards that would fit. I believe the sideboard should be for your decks weaknesses...right now, there isn't a super weakness I have played that I need cards in sideboard dedicated to countering that. Its like this: in my green elves I sideboard Gaea's Herald, but will ALWAYS put it in when facing control. So lets say this deck weakness is artifact destruction (which is a weakness), so I would put in stuff that give shroud to my arti's (if i can find black cards that can do it) etc. Actually, i don't need techtonic edge. The opponent plays activates the manland and I just doomblade it.
dude i have to say there are always similaritys in decks built round a certain card for example skin render with the mimic vat is a no brainer and such an obvious choice most would put it in there, this deck actually contains so many cards i run in one of my decks and thats a proliferate deck, and so clearly designed to do something completley different. good deck here i like the combo's and persector golem is a good touch in here well done.
I've been playing MTGO for a while and not once seen a deck like this, and not once seen a deck like this here until after I posted, and I sign on here many many times a day, so I am sorry I believed it was original. I knew it was a staple in expensive decks that have wurmcoil and all those really great cards but this is supposed to be as cheap as possible. I did not know it was a staple in mono black. This is a reply to BrokenBoySoulja This part is a replay to Aie. I'm sorry for the reply i posted on your deck. I had not known that it was a common deck, and I have never seen it on MTGO or here before. I was a bit rash in my comment, and I was extremely frustrated at the time from other causes and basically anything would have pissed me off at the time. I don't believe in deleted comments but I will put this apology on your deck too.

Overall this looks like a pretty fun draft deck. How well did it fair?
Second Place. In the draft the guy who won had a Platinum Emperion, i had 1 grasp of darkness and no Doom Blades...i couldn't kill it and lost :(
