Esper Life Gain and Control running Duskmantle Seer and Obzedat, Ghost Council . I lose the life from the Seer, but it gives me card advantage, and I have many offsets to that like:Elixir of Immortality : Decent life gain early game, and helps me vs aggro.Extorting machines: Thrull Parasite , and Blind Obedience . I have a lot of cheap mana costs here so maybe I could use the excess white and black mana to extort it.Obzedat, Ghost Council : The life draining machine. People say its just a drain 2 thing, but since it's control I bleed them dry for a long time.Sphinx's Revelation and Azorius Charm : Also comes with card advantage.Controlling:Blind Obedience : Haste stopper and offensive advantage.Cyclonic Rift and Supreme Verdict : Two of the best board wiping spells in my opinion.Detention Sphere : An evolved Oblivion Ring and is good vs. tokens.Duskmantle Seer Combos well with either Dimir Charm or Azorius Charm .Feel free to suggest!
Cast your Thrull Parasites and Blind Obedience first thing. When its set, start casting those cheap spells and extort them. When your life is high enough, bring in Duskmantle Seer. Then take note of its card advantage. Don't need to risk its drawback because of the extorted life. Then keep gaining life with Obzedat. Drain your opponents and win with your Seers and Obzedat.
