Deck Description

I always thought that modular was a really fun strategy, so i made this deck. . .

BEST CARDS:
Arcbound Overseer: if he lives for a turn or two they loose, if he dies they have to kill another one of your dudes. He two for ones your opponent, wins you the game or forces a board wipe.
Ensoul Artifact: a 5/5 turn 2, fair as fu*k!
Darksteel Citadel: cause if you get board wiped you can put your +1/+1 counters on it and ensoul it, this thing can be soooooooooooo hard to play against and even hard to win against, AND IT'S JUST A LAND!!

How to Play

You are a wierd aggro deck that tries to get as much use out of your guys as it is humanly possible. Start with a Darksteel Citadel and a Arcbound Worker then Arcbound Slith, then Ensoul the citadel and win. If this doesn't happen just snowball to victory!
Against aggro ensouling a citadel will win you games, Epochrasite will be great, Myr Retriever will do lots of work and your general snowballing strategy will make you win unless they have lots of removal that destroys or exiles your creature. In any slow match you ensoul a citadel nad you win and if not you can always use Darksteel Sentinel vs board wipes and just moving your counters will make them kill every single one of your creatures, if they can't they loose. . .

My budget decks are supposed to let you have fun! Which is what i think MtG should be about, i try to make these decks as competitive as possible while still leting you to have a blast while playing them. If you can make your friends to spend around 50$ you could buy 2-4(some of my decks are under 10$) of my decks and make the experience even richer! Also don't just copy the whole deck(you can, but if you can improve something DO IT!), if you have a better idea pls let me know, i can't always make the perfect deck and sideboard. Again GL and HF!

Deck discussion for Budget Modular

Should i replace Myr retriever with Tempered Steel?

If you really want to go on the beat down path with your artifacts, then Tempered Steel would be a solid card to splash in for, and you could go half and half on it and the Myr Retriever, giving you a side of both, while keeping the mana curve about the same. What budget are you wanting to keep this on? For around a dollar on TCG Player you can get one of the most explosive artifact beat down cards in Cranial Plating, which would cause your draws to be explosive by turn 4 if it's in your opening grip.

Under 25$. I'm not planning on making the deck, i just post A LOT of budget decks on this site to inspire people.
What should i remove for Tempered Steel?
Cranial Plating makes one dude huge and i want all the guys to be stronger(they will be 2/2 creatures even without the counters), also it's expensive in the database of this site.

Huh that's weird. For Tempered Steel you could drop two of 2 drops you have down to a 3 of, without really affecting the curve very much. I'm not sure how cutting Islands would work, but that would leave all of the 4 ofs intact in order to keep the consistency with creatures, but it depends on how the lands are working when you initially draw. It will probably boil down to just drawing a bunch of sample hands to see how it feels and what you like better
