Something about swinging with a 5/5 Mongrel that is shooting lightning bolts from its ass struck me as funny so here is my take on Hot Dog, or how it's known nowadays:GR MandessI am posting this deck now because Reckless Wurm has just become a part of the format, this makes us dream wet dreams about having another two drop that is as good at discarding as Wild Mongrel is. Aside from that, it allows us to play an equally aggressive deck with more relevant threats.
The best way to characterize this would probably be tempo or aggro with lots of synergy and thanks to Faithless Looting, lots of value as well.The idea is to play threats on curve, back them up with quality removal, and gain incremental advantages from having your Lightning Bolt give +1/+1 to a creature that is suddenly black, or having your Faithless Looting get a 4/4 attached to it.NOTE: Moldgraf Scavenger is a strange card, ideas for replacements? I am not too happy to run.. it? (it's an it, right?) due to having only 21 lands out of which he forces at least 6 to be artifacts too, making it so that any knowledgeable opponent with a lucky Gleeful Sabotage could end us on turn 3. Which, you know, sucks.
