Deck discussion for Wurmin' on a Sunday Afternoon.

Feel like it's too one dimensional, I would put in some 2, 3, 4 drop creatures and spells.

any creatures you have in mind that would fit this scheme?

I would replace Quilled Slagwurm with Pelakka Wurm, Spined Wurm with Engulfing Slagwurm ,and remove 3 swamps and a forest for 4 verdant catacombs.

I like that idea.

This looks extremely viable. Have you tried testing yet?

I have not. I have regular group fun games with wurms and such but wanted to create a valid 1v1 wurm deck. I made a few changes since sora119 and you pointed out some shortfalls in the deck. I am looking for a good standard wurm deck that can play solo or group games well. I will create this tonight and hopefully play test it soon.

I was finding that on turns 1-2-3, I was not getting anything out for defense. I was getting birds and elves but i dont want them to die that early in the game.i added the wall of vines for that reason. I also added some flying killers in the sideboard. Let me know if there should have been something else there.

If you're worried about early game defense against flying, replace the memnite with ornithopters.. It'll buy you some time, while not wasting your mana to get them out. Overgrown Battlement would be a better choice than Wall of Vines.. I might even main board it seeing as it has amazing potential.

Some other things to look at for defense and flying defense at that is Steel Hellkite or Wall of Tanglecord. I might even replace the Birds and Harrows for Battlements and Tanglecords.. Tanglecords offer way better flying defense than a Birds and with a Battlement out, basically turns into one in a mono green deck.

Steel Hellkite could be used in sideboard against tokens, or permanent heavy decks.. i.e. Battlecry. As long as you can make that far into a game, you'll be fine and Tangelcords + Battlements should help with that.

I am worried about early game defence just because of how many infect decks there are. I am not trying to make this deck strickly to defeat infect but that is majority of the decks i have seen. As for the flying, just because of flying infect. Ornithopers are a good choice for that. Early (and free) blockers with flying. I did put the tanglecords in side board but added the overgrown battlements to the main board to try it out. Oran-Reif i will have to try out before i like it. I also have never played with the Khalni Heart Expedition to know how fast that would go.

You could also replace 2-3 forests with Oran-Rief to pump your guys as they come into play.. Helps more than you'd realize.

i think that you should deffinently add some wall of tanglecords if your worried about flying and early turns. It helps with early in the game while your trying to get your deck started up. check out my wurm deck (multi wurm)

This is a steller deck man. I like how the mana curve is pretty consistent and the only thing I would do is msbey take out the overgrown battlements and mabey add walls of tangle cords :)

I works if the semblance anvil makes it to play. at one point i was only paying their colored mana for wurms and free wurmcoil engines. Only played it a few times. If i remember correctly i had to add more mana.
