Deck Description

A continuing project regarding my favorite of all the guilds. This deck has undergone countless revisions and is still getting better everyday. I tend to make changes whenever I can think of them (and I can't always think of them) and any suggestions you guys might have would be appreciated.

How to Play

Creatures and how they fit in:

Niv-mizzet- Capstone of the deck. Niv exists to swing his curiosity infinite combo or deal a barrage of damage whenever the prior isn't possible.

Keranos- Biggest P/T, second most important effect. Keranos can give you an extra draw each durn with curiosity and his constant barrage of pain puts a nice clock on the opponent despite your own ability to play key mobs afterwards.

Chasm Skulker- Potentially largest creature. The deck loves to draw, Skulker loves you for drawing and even if he is to fall he'll still bless you with a ton of little islandwalking chump blockers.

Electromancer, Generator Servant- Both exist to speed play. The servant makes for a mean turn five infinite combo if you've got a firemind and a curiosity in hand. The goblin loves to help you draw.

Nivix- useful for destiny draws when you've got no draw power. Good for doubling draw cards if you're desperate in the late game.

Spellbound Dragon- Nice flying power mixed with a bit of draw in there.

Spells and what they can do:

Izzet Charm- a multipurpose facet. Desperate draw power, hidden countering power, and straight up shock gives this thing many roles.

Think twice- draw one card. Draw another card later. Electromancer makes this thing a one drop from hand and two drop from graveyard getting you some satisfying card draw.

Divination- simply two card. Always useful.

Curiosity- partners well with bigger creatures. Infinite combo with Niv, second draw every turn with keranos. Can be placed on early-game pokers to help draw out the big fellas.

Browbeat- Awesome ultimatum. Do you want me to have hand advantage or life advantage???

Mind over Matter isn't Modern, is it?

I believe it is not modern legal.

It does infinite damage too.

Mind over Matter. Thornwind Faeries (or another Tim card). Curiosity. That is the combo.
Have Faeries enchanted with Curiosity. Have Mind over Matter in play.
Tap Faeries to do 1 damage to your opponent and draw 1 card with Curiosity. Now, using Mind over Matter discard the card you just drew via Curiosity to untap Faeries.

Now repeat that over and over. For every card that you draw with Curiosity, just discard it via Mind over Matter to untap the Faeries.

Very much the same as Niv.

Very true. If I ever make a vintage edition of this idea I'll be sure to include those. Thank you.
