All three creatures in this deck benefit from instants and sorceries in one way or another. So the basic plan is to play them first and burn your opponent out.There is some counter magic and bounce for creatures. The burn spells are meant to go to face.There is a lot of scry action. One reason is to manipulate the top of your deck to flip Delver. Another reason is to get Thunderous Wrath on or back on top of your library to play it for it's miracle cost. Mystic Sanctuary is there for the same reason. Thunderous Wrath into a Mystic Sanctuary to Wrath the next turn (granted your opponent doesn't mess with that plan).
