In theory, the ideal steps are as follows:T1: Preordain. T2: Play Fireweaver. T3: Play Battered Golem. T4: Play Golem Foundry/Play Banishing Knack or Retraction Helix on Golem or Spy/Play Ornithopter or Shield Sphere, tap for one damage, tap to return creature, replay creature, untap rinse and repeat til opponent is dead or stomp them out with 3/3's.Countermeasures:Viridian Longbow is in there in case you don't have a Fireweaver out but have two Battered Golems. You play Helix or Knack on one and attach the Longbow on the other. Then you can proceed to Timmy them to death.Artificer's Assistant can be clutch in situations when you need to dig or you have one too many Knacks or Helixs. You can do the infinite combo and dig until you find the right card that you need.Preordain and Machinate are there to filter your draws.Thoughtcast is there just for the extra draw and Apostle's Blessing to protect your pieces.Sideboard is filled with essentially more protection for different types of decks and needs some love.
