My favorite pet card for 8-rack is whispers of emrakul. for 1B you can have your opponent discard a card at random, or two cards if you have delirium online.

This reminds me of my first commander deck. It was a janky Darigaaz the Igniter deck built around creature that have abilities that trigger whenever they deal combat damage to a player. It played lure effects to ensure that my creatures would get through. If that deck had been good, it would've been this deck. Strangely enough, that deck has evolved into a Gyrus deck as well. You're deck looks like a lot of fun

I'd cut the Gearhulk for another Snapcaster. Gearhulk is nice, but it too high on the Mana curve.
I also think the deck looks good, but I would say that some of the 5-drop walkers could be cut to play a playset of cards like Oko and Wrenn and Six.
perhaps some graveyard synergies to go with Varolz.
Great Deck! mine plays more like a reanimator deck, with cards like Dread Return.

i'd play 4x feasting troll king, 4x once upon a time and at least 3x nissa. cut the thrill of possibility. the deck is good, though.

i don't play # rack, but i think the rack is better than shrieking affliction.
maybe. blue is better for zombies in EDH than modern. Besides, cutting blue would increase consistency in the mana base.
it is expensive, though. unless it dropped after hogaak got banned
