This is fun green deck made of miscellaneous "Devotion to Green" and "Hydra" cards.The goal being: drop a bunch of green creatures raising your devotion to green total.Then play some BIG ass Hydra's by pumping them with as much X mana as we can muster.Quite a few cards come into play with counters or give counters to cards. This combo's nicely with the Kalonian Hydra who doubles counters on all cards when it attacks.What about removal I hear you ask? Pfff... who needs removal when you've got pure brute force size behind you!Some noteworthy mentions:Aspect of Hydra: Pump one of your attackers (either Syr Faren or the Wild Beastmaster) drastically increasing your attacking output as you buff 2 or more creatures during the attack. If both Syr Faren AND the Wild Beastmaster are attacking - order the stack so that Syr Faren buffs the Wild Beastermaster first, which increases ALL attackers power. It can get nasty here.Snakeskin VeilProtection from spot removal and creates a counter on a creature which synergises nicely with the Kalonian Hydra.Ring of KaloniaGives a creature TRAMPLE and adds an extra counter each turn. Counters on creatures double when the Kalonian Hydra attacks.
Turn 1:- Play a Forest- Experiment 1Turn 2:- Play a Forest- Syr Faren, The Hengehammer (Experiment 1 evolves to 2/2)Turn 3:- Play Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx- Courser of Kruphix (Experiment 1 evolves to 3/3) Turn 4:- Play a land off the top of your deck (Courser of Kruphix gains you 1 life).- Karametra's Acolyte (Experiment 1 evolves to a 4/4)Turn 5:- Front this point on, you can start playing your heavy hitting Hydras.- Both the "Nykthos, Shine to Nyx" and "Karametra's Acolyte" can now produce at least 6 Green Mana.- Create as much Green mana as you can and play a Mistcutter Hydra where X is 10+.- He enters with Haste - so attack with the Hydra.- Experiment 1 evolves to a 5/5Turn 6:- Cast more Hydra's or Reverent Hunter- etc
