Deck Description

This is a tribal human/werewolves deck that was fun to play when Innistrad first came out. It has a number of neat synergies going for it namely:

Champion of the Parish:
- Gets a +1/+1 counter everytime a human enters the battlefield. All our creatures are humans!

Burning-Tree Emmisary:
- Essentially comes in for free as you get the mana back. Combos nicely with the Champion of the Parish, giving him +1/+1 counters, as it allows more creatures to enter in on the same turn.
- This enables other turn 2 creatures/spells (Mayor of Avabruck, Lightning Mauler even Searing Spear) to be played in the same turn.

Lightning Mauler:
- Give something haste (one off) when it enters the battlefield if you soulbond the 2 creatures together.

CloudShift:
This instant provides a lot of utility for 1 white mana:
- Bounce Burning-Tree Emissary to generate 2 mana for a) Searing Spear a new threat or b) to play a 2 CMC creature.
- Bounce Lightning Mauler to break the soulbond and reforge it with another creature giving that new creature haste! Useful to give big hitters (e.g. Rubblebelt raiders) haste so that they can attack on the turn that they came in
- Defense! Protect your important creatures if your opponent is trying to spot removal them by bouncing them out, then in again.
- Bounce Zealous Conscripts so that you can steal another one of your opponents creatures before a big attack!
- Using Cloudshift will also add another +1/+1 counter to Champion of the Parish if he's out when you bounce a human out, then in.

Dealing with Threats:
- Oblivion Ring
- Boros Charm
- Searing Spear
- Ulvenwald Tracker (allows 2 creatures to fight)
- Ravager of the Fells (transformed Huntsman deals 2 dmg to creatures)
- Garruk Relentless

Gavony Township (late game shenanigans):
- For a cost of 5 mana, add a round of +1/+1 counters (aka Beers!) to all your creatures.
- Useful as a combat trick

Slightly more realistic turn sequence:

- Champion of the Parish

Turn 2
- Burning-Tree Emmisary (Champion of the Parish gets a +1/+1 counter)
- Mayor of Avabruck

- In your opponents end step, Searing spear your opponents creatures or life total directly.

Turn 4
- Huntmaster of the Fells (Champion of the Parish gets a +1/+1 counter)
- The Howlpack Alpha creates a 3/3 wolf token in your end step.

Turn 5:
- Zealous conscripts stealing one of your opponents creatures and giving it haste.

- BIG ATTACK!
- The Howlpack Alpha creates a 3/3 wolf token in your end step.
- etc
