No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My first deck... It's a bit shaky and was done on a budget but it seems fairly effective. I'd be very happy to receive advice! Particularly ways of strengthening it against control. Thoughts?

How to Play

Fairly straight forward game plan. Focus on getting a lot of mana out in turns 1 & 2, is often 4-6 by that point. This facilitates playing some of the bigger hitters. Can use Cultivate or Sylvan Ranger to help with playing mana (although it's not often necessary!) Aim is to beat the snot out of your opponent in the first 5-6 turns.

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Green/Red Power

for a budget deck your deck seems to cover most of the bases. I do not thing you need 4 Ruric Thar (drop 2). The deck's biggest weaknesses seems to be board wipe and flying. Maybe add Hurricane and 1 or 2 creatures with reach, and Trollhide for regeneration.
Pit Fight and artifact destruction - Naturalize or another Acidic Slime should be in your sideboard. Play your deck and see what works - Bloodrush creatures should help it if you want to go in that direction. EnjoyMy first deck a long time ago was R/G - Elves , Kird Ape, Ernham Djinn with Giant Growth and Bloodlust.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. I'll try making the subs that you suggest. My Warden of the Wall and Wall of Tanglecord can both hit flying (under the right conditions...) but I have a couple of Giant Spiders with reach I can sub in - low mana cost too! I'll have a play with a few different configurations over the weekend & figure out what to do regarding the sideboard. I've made another deck which I'll be posting soon, I'd be grateful if you'd take a look! Thanks again.
