Deck Description

When I got into MTG last may, the Slaughterhouse intro deck from Avacyn Restored was the first deck I ever bought. This is somewhat of an expansion of that deck, with the addition of a few RTR cards. The goal (ghoul?) is to make your opponents lose life as a result of your own creatures dying. The Undying mechanic is center to the Rakdos Flinger strategy, as the biggest strategy involves Flayer of the Hatebound and Fling. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

How to Play

Lay out some cheap dudes like Butcher, Soulcage Fiend or Blood Artist, and sacrifice one of them to bring out Demonlord. Having a Driver of the Dead out is a plus as well, if you had happened to play a Vexing Devil on the first turn, you can bring him out later by sacrificing Driver. If Havengul Vamp happens to be on the battlefield, he'll just get bigger. Once you get Flayer out, you can start the Fling strategy. One of the coolest chain reactions in this deck is to fling Demonlord at your opponent (for 5 damage), have him come back due to his Undying ability (dealing 6 additional damage if Flayer is out), then sacrificing Flayer due to Demonlord's ability (Flayer deals 5 damage when he comes back). That's 16 damage for 2 mana! If you so happen to have Cryptborn Horror in your hand... you get the idea. Rakdos, Lord of Riots is there mainly to make Flayer cheaper, and just generally be an intimidating guy.

Deck discussion for Rakdos Flingers

My deck is built almost like this. Adding Geralf's Messenger and Gravecrawlers to this would be a great idea. Gravecrawler is like free ammo for whatever you want for sacrificing because he can be cast from the graveyard as long as you control a zombie. Casting Messenger, he hits the field for 2 damage to opponent, Fling him for 3 more damage, then he comes back for another 2 for his undying. Just some suggestions!
