1) the search filters out a card his deck doesnt need
2) the dual lands don't set him up with all the +triggers for his creatures, and since he's not using shock lands he'll need as many ways as possible to make sure he has all 3 basics every time.

so the coming if the coming in tapped doesn't make a difference either way, then the gain 1 life won't help him as much as stronger creatures would.

If i had a deck of all 1 drops I would still use 16 lands at the very least.

I'd just go with 4 Evolving Wilds and 4 Terramorphic Expanse and drop the dual lands. Also probably some Lightning Bolts

I love that card and I'm not sure about it in here. In red sometimes you gotta suck it up and play without draw. I think the spots for that card would be better served on something you can be sure will help you win. With Browbeat they can always choose what won't kill them.

I would cut the Platinum Angel, it's not too hard to kill and It wouldn't really help you win. Also I'd slim down on the back end of this deck a little bit, 3 Karn, 3 Eldrazi and 2 Wurmcoil Engine is more than enough. I would replace the Avoid Fate, and maybe a Karn and/or eldrazi for 2-3 Oblivion Stone. 4 Sylvan Scrying and 4 Expedition Map seem pretty necessary also.

Most people use Red/Green for this but I think Black/Green opens it up to some interesting possibilities; definitely more kill spells between the main-sideboard

between the mainboard and sideboard you need 4 Skullcracks

The best possible build for mono red would be

4x Ball Lightning
4x Vexing Devil
4x Goblin Guide
4x Monastery Swiftspear
2x Eidolon of the Great Revel
2x Grim Lavamancer

4x Lightning Bolt
4x Lava Spike
4x Rift Bolt
2x Skullcrack
2x Shard Volley
2x Flames of the Blood Hand
2x Searing Blaze

4x Bloodstained Mire
4x Wooded Foothills
10x Mountain
2x Mutavault

The fetch lands are to thin out the deck and help generate better draws. It would also be advisible to splash in Sacred Foundary for cards like Boros Charm and Lightning Helix, as well as a Stomping Ground or 2 for sideboard cards like Destructive Revelry.

if it was me and I was going to add in the green [and this would be a pretty bananas idea] I'd go HAM and disregard any damage I'd do to myself in the process.

4x Wooded Foothills
4x Stomping Ground
4x Copperline Gorge
4x Karplusan Forest
4x Mountain

I suggested the idea somewhat jokingly just because insuring you have 3 red OR 3 green on turn 3 seems insane, however I do use a mono green deck with Groundbreaker and it is a fantastic card.

what makes it an auto mulligan? It allows him to play Swiftspear and Vexing Devil turn 1, and if he has Mutagenic Growth that's 8 damage first turn.

4 ball lightning is a must. If you really wanna go nuts, spend a fortune on dual lands and get 4 Groundbreaker as well. Also I'd go with only 1-2 Teetering Peak, just cuz it can really mess up your curve.

THE MAIN BOARD
For the Sabretooth combo: Frontier Siege to fight-trigger an entering Hornet Queen or just for the ridiculous amounts of mana; Genesis Hydra

I'd probably drop the Soul of New Phyrexia, while it is a pretty bonkers card it you seem very susceptible to early board states from your opponent. Mainboard the Whisperer of the Wilds and drop the Yisan. She takes way too long unless you were to use Prophet of Kruphix and even still. Hydra Broodmaster is a card I've always loved and it would be a good addition if you're looking to ramp/search into something quickly that can generate tokens for Purphoros.

The Hornets Nest + Arcbond Combo is good in theory but realistically I don't think it would help you win all that much. It would very likely require you wiping your board and doing damage to yourself, with the payoff of hornets only being worthwhile IF you have Purphoros out.

Twenty-two or more lands is recommended in stanard, and I think you can replace the mana confluence for 4 Wooded Foothills since there's no red before 4 CMC, with around 2 basic mountains for when you need it.

Nissa and Sarkhan are also wonderful secondary win conditions, but financially it's understandable to avoid them.

THE SIDE BOARD
NYLEA'S DISCIPLE! NYLEA'S DISCIPLE! NYLEA'S DISCIPLE would be killer for a Jeskai, Mardu or Abzhan deck if they couldn't finish you off early.

Reclaimation Sage is a hot item in standard, it takes care of the Ascendency's, enchantmen-creatures, artifact-creatures

Setessan Tactics allows you the opportunity to respond to things that a green deck normally would be powerless against (enter the battlefield triggers, flying attackers, kill spells, etc)

THE MAYBE-BOARD
Polukranos and Arbor Colossus are pretty beast cards.

It's a fun idea, seems like it needs some tweaking but I'm interested to see how it plays out.

I understand, I'm just not a fan of throwing away cards that I can't get back. My Jeskai deck just hardcasts things to delve for Dig and it usually takes 1st of 2nd at the tournaments I go to
