Deck Description

This deck is kind of a random conglomeration of self-mill, mill them out, as well as aspects of control and creatures to back you up for a standard win conidtion....its got a bit of everything.

The funnest win is with the Laboratory Maniac's and the idea is to hold off on casting him until you can be sure he hits the board and gets equipped with the Darksteel Plate. The Back from the Brink enchantment will allow you to get any creatures back (most specifically the Maniac) to give you a line of defense if your control runs dry.

If you can get a Mind Unbound out early and a Venser's Journal, you should have enough life to take hits for a few rounds to buy time to set yourself up. Getting a Jace's Erasure out in combo with the Mindshrieker and your caged sun will make their library's disappear pretty quickly as another win condition.

I just threw the Grimoire in the other day to troll my buddies with and to have fun when I dump over half their libraries into their graveyards and steal all of their creatures.

Let me know what you think!

one thing i have to say is that you should probably focus on milling them out more than yourself.

any red black or white deck could easily have 1 and 2 drop instants that can kill lab man with ease.

anyway check mine out!

I agree completely, lab man only comes out when the darksteel plate is ready to rock and I can pull the win out the same turn.

Otherwise all efforts are focused on mass milling them out.

I know you are not looking into running competitive mill but all I can offer is my own version of modern(I think) nasty mill in the hopes that you find something to take from it.
