Deck Description

Never built a rainbow deck before - so I figured I'd build the rainbowiest deck possible! And what's more rainbowy than having to use 1 of each color mana to summon a creature? Nothing!

How to Play

Mana ramp quickly and early with Birds of Paradise & Rampant Growth. Once Chromatic Lantern comes out, the creatures come in bunches. White Bringers allow me to cycle the golems each turn (or bring back a destroyed lantern if needed). Black & Blue bringers work together to grab any creature to the top of my deck and then draw it. Archangel allows for quick play of anything but a land and Progenitus and Door to Nothingness are finishers - if a deck can withstand an onslaught of 5/5 Tramplers.

Deck discussion for Green Rainbow

At first I was like wtf, rainbow with 16 basic forests, but when looking at it, I really like it! Another good land for you to add would be city of brass, and also in modern I often prefer Sakura Tribe elder over rampant growth, as you can sacc it after blocking. Door to nothingness could be an alternative win con worth looking into aswell!

Thanks for the suggestions! City of Brass is nice, but I don't know if I can afford to take damage each time I use it (I have no life gain in this deck).

Sakura-Tribe Elder is an interesting option. I'll have to experiment a bit to see which I like better. I also considered Ranger's Path for a brief second, but the cost is too high for what I want to do.

I did look at Door to Nothingness when building the deck list initially. I may revisit that option as I am concerned about Child of Alara completely wrecking my game if/when it dies as I'd go back to mono-green until I could play another lantern or enough birds & ziggurats to make up for the mana production loss. Although I'm also considering adding another 1-2 of the white bringers, since they would let me cycle my Chromatic Golems each turn.

Thoughts?

I know i am not the best deck builder but id you look at Keeper of Progenitus for this deck?

I did look at it but it is not helpful really. With the Chromatic Lantern, my forests can be any land I want, but the Keeper would force that mana to double. So if I tapped a forest for blue, I would get two blues instead. Since most of my creatures only need one of each color to be cast, I'd more than likely take mana burn unless I was able to play 2 creatures per turn.

Hey, I just though about a card you could add here! Check out Prismatic Omen, it's a bit like chromatic lantern, only 1 mana cheaper, doesn't ramp and is an enchantment.

That is pretty nice - and does almost the same thing as the Lantern. I kinda like the Lantern at this point as an additional mana source, and since it adds the ability, I don't have to worry about doubling mana (like keeper of Progenitus does).

I'll definitely look into it - still need more PT with the deck as is before I make any serious adjustments, so far it flows pretty good.
