Deck Description

Maze's End win con

How to Play

So the basic idea is to be able to play as many lands as possible, as fast as possible in order to meet Maze's End's win condition. I'm trying to use cards that either let me play an additional land per turn, put lands in my hand, or reveal cards from the deck and put a land directly in my hand. I'm pretty set on this set-up as a final draft for the deck. I intend for many of the cards to play off each other and Elvish Piper should help generate some of the additional lands needed by playing the crucial creatures needed (Primeval Titan, Oracle).

Deck discussion for Maze's End-Simic

Budoka Gardner would go great in here since its not a standard deck. I like it how it looks though. I would recommend hold the gates as well

Thanks for the suggestion! I've put Budoka into the sideboard as a card under consideration. I think I'll hold off on Hold the Gates at the moment as I don't want the deck to become reliant on too many mana colors. That being said, multiple gates would provide more colors of mana if I go that route, so I will have to consider that as an option.

Were there any cards I have in the sideboard that you think would fit better in the main deck in place of ones I have there already? I'm leaning towards Life from the Loam and Ancient Stirrings as more lands in my hand would be more beneficial to the abilities of the Oracle & Explore.

Definately Life from the Loam, pay its dredge cost every time and its almost a guaranteed draw land each turn, also since your running singles of most gates get elixir of immortality too, that way if life from the loam gets removed from game somehow you have a way to get gates back.

I didn't even consider Elixir of Immortality - but that's a really good idea. It also allows me to throw my other spells back into the deck for use again. I added the Elixir and Life from the Loam and took out Sylvan Scrying. I also reduced my Explore's by 1 but I didn't want to take them out completely just because they let me draw a card - I know the Scrying lets me put a land in my hand but the payoff from being able to draw anything is better in my opinion.
