Los Elefantes

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (8 cards)

Instants (8)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

The Deck revolves around Kazandu Tuskcaller to infinitely make elephants, to either win with laboratory Maniac, Garruk's Pack Leader, Intruder Alarm combo, or run him in the face. All the spell cards are meant to keep either Kazandu or Maniac alive. I would like some input to improve this deck.

How to Play

Ideal Game-
T1- Forest and Elvish Mystic
T2- Island Kazandu and Umbra
T3- Forest Level up twice
T4- Intruder Alarm then Kazandu infinity taps and infinity elephants
T5-??????
T6- Profit

At this point you can win by smashing the opponent in the face or, if you wait a few more turns play a garruk pack leader and laboratory maniac and deck yourself to win

Deck discussion for Los Elefantes

Your combo relies on Intruder Alarm, so bump it up to 3x or 4x and include some draw like Gitaxian Probe; Serum Visions; Slight of Hand; Telling Time; or Harmonize. Hell, the Beck side of Beck // Call would work nicely in here as a Packleader that can't be killed. Also, Shielding Plax would be awesome to protect your main creatures from target removal.

PS. I haven't checked the price of the cards I suggested, so excuse me if any of them are not budget friendly.

I added in a few of the cards you recommend, and got rid of a few yisan, I still feel like my manabase is still unconsistant

Talking about lands on a budget can be a bit tricky. Normally I just suggest Evolving Wilds or Terramorphic Expanse (I use them in my Pauper decks), but there are other options. The best are any dual lands that enter the battlefield untapped, but those tend to be expensive. If the lands enter the battlefield tapped, they should give you something, like the 1 life from the Thornwood Falls you're already using, or two mana each time it's tapped, like Simic Growth Chamber.

Absolutely run 4x intruder alarm.
I don't think quest for renewal helps this deck much. You'll mostly only win by going infinite.
Shielding plax is expensive. I'd go for something cheaper like Autumn's Veil or Simic Charm.

Autumn's veil is a good card, but it would seem like it would be more appropriate in the sideboard since it is only inclusive to blue in black. It would be useless against something like red burn or white exile, the instant speed is a plus though. The Simic Charm was something I was thinking about, being that it was an instant, but the extra card draw and permanent shroud for one extra mana seems more valuable.

so this is hilarious... an apparently works. i think this is the perfect deck for dig through time, it lets you go find your combo peices, then maybe even sideboard vexing shusher to push through counterspells

Thanks for your input, have any idea what I should get rid of to fit in dig though time?
Or even better a budget alternative?
