dark ritual is 4 out of 60 cards in the deck. but as for my mana accel....lets get some etherium sculptors out to play some myrs for free. tap some myrs and theres an everflowing chalice thats got tap for idk....say....3? so turn 1, island, turn two island and etherium sculptor. turn 3 etherium sculptor and sh*t tons of myrs. turn four tap all myrs theres some mana accel.

but then again i havnt faced many decks with counterbores AND mana accel. im not saying ur deck is bad im just giving advice. thats all

theres so many better cards than counterbore that do the same effect (surgical extraction, meddling mage (kinda), extirpate, memoricide, etc), but regardless, imp's mischief is the answer in the situation, along with divining top.

consider maby making it blue-black and adding some counter spells of your own or maby even a hive mind? that card ( in case u dont know) makes it so if anyone plays an instant or sorcery, all other players get a copy of it. so he counterbores your rats, u use hive mind to counterbore his counterbore now u dont hav to worry about it. problem solved

unless it stops counter bore from counter boring my rats i still lost. however he must counter bore before or while my rats are hitting the field correct.

if you counterbore his counterbore not only will it stop it but it will get rid of all of his counterbores. and yes he can only counterbore wen they come into play but imagine this: u hav a couple rats out he unsummons your rat. then u try to play it again and bam counterbore. now the only rats left r the ones in play and he can probably mop those up after a wile. i say this all because i hav gone against relentless rat decks that r kinda like this. i pulled out my "fuck you" deck (blue white meant to stall and counter and set for quick defence) i had a couple of big walls and turn 6 he played rats number 3 i counterbored it and he just gave up.
but i hav seen some rat decks that have relentless rats in em and r not based around them. i myself am building 1. cards like marrow-gnawer and swarm of rats make them good.
marrow-gnawer + intruder alarm = infinite rats. infinite rats + coat of arms = infinite rats that have infinite power and toughness

but i do hav to giv u credit on the Thrumming Stone idea. i honestly hav not seen that in a R. rat deck surprisingly and its a great idea.

I honestly think that you could add aloof things.

I don't know them by name but there's cards that are like "deal damage equal to the number of rats you control" and there's onre thats like "tap and tap one lack and regenerate a squirrel rat insect or pest" sorry can't recall the names but I know they exist.
