Ahoy Northy! Expanding my collection of Hedge Magic decks, I decided to tackle Squirrels myself.

Agreed, let it stand in for Kalonian tusker. You lose a point of toughness, but you gain trample.

I like this! Have you considered something like Beacon Behemoth in lieu of Hollowhenge Beast? A relatively inexpensive card ($.35 for a near-mint foil from Cardkingdom), it fits a similar niche both P/T and CMC-wise, but it also grants low-cost vigilance.

I've been trying to work up a spider deck lately, and kept hitting a wall. This is exactly what I was needing for inspiration.

I would love to take a look! Unfortunately, Lightning Helix is a dual color card. While the deck registers as a two-color deck, the two red cards have split mana, so I can drop them for white. If I ever build a true Red/White deck, I'll test it out!

You know, we rarely do Mulligans when we play, so it's never been a consideration. I'm fairly amateur at Magic, so I'd suggest trying your mulligan to 4 cards and see how that works. Please let me know, and I'd love to see any decks you build in the format!

We usually just load up my Spotify playlist and hit shuffle. But some songs that have proven popular:

Pickin' on Ben Harper -- "Oppression" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtbY3qvocd8

ELP -- "Still you turn me on" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8VHHcd0M_o (the Blue player likes this one. That's a bit scary...

Buffalo Springsteen -- "For what it's worth."

ManoWar -- "Manowarriors." (or really, ANY Manowar song).m

I think it's a fairly unique variant we came up with, to be honest. The point is to get as many games played in as short an amount of time as possible. The bonus is that it's extremely budget friendly!

Hullo Northy! I've been enjoying the new decks you're putting out. Apologies for not commenting more! University has been keeping me far, far too busy lately. I like Edge of Divinity, never saw that one before.

Started talking to the guys I have a free hour with about Magic, and we've knocked together the basics of a format to make the most of our 45 minutes of free time. Thought I'd share my first deck for it with you, see what you think! (Or do you essentially prefer stock 60 card format for construction?)

I've been looking for a soldier deck to try, going to take this one for a spin, see how it plays!

I like that, as of the time of this comment, the cost of this deck is $6.66

Looking at this. Would Elephant Ambush be more Thematic than Bestial Menace? Yes, you're losing out on the non-elephant tokens, but Elephant Ambush is 3 cents cheaper, and has a lower CMC.

Here's a challenge for you: A Filth Casserole format deck. For funsies... Why not try to fill it with as low CMC cards as you can.

Hurrah hugs! I played with my Nephew tonight. Foiled out the deck as much as I could (kids deserve a treat now and again). I think he's hooked :D !

My 13 year old nephew wants to learn to play Magic with me, this will be his first deck along with a couple boosters. He'll be facing off either your Indestructible deck, or your crabs deck, I'm not sure which I'm in the mood for most.

I must have hit the wrong button when I added the amount in. Fixed.

Thank you very much for the suggestions! I dropped Carrion Call for Corpse Clasps to keep my curve low. And modified things a bit more to add in the Corpse Curs. I'll proxy the others next time I play, see what works best.

I did my own take on an Infect deck. I'm not great at Magic or deck building, but I do these to try and get better. And right now, you are the measuring stick I hold myself to when building decks. Could you take a look at my abomination and offer critiques, please?

Thanks for the comments! I'm a bit broke at the moment with the holidays, but once that's past I'll order the missing cards and give the modified deck a try!
