Main Deck (80 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

How to Play

This deck will annoy your friends a lot. It's just as satisfying as winning. If you have Psychic Spiral in your hand, you can mill yourself and do a lot of hurt to someone else. Otherwise, just sit in the corner and don't attack anyone. Try to get all your creatures out. The lack of creatures will hurt, but it won't kill you. Play a Crypt Incursion and you're good for a while. You can be in people's good graces by countering/removing certain spells. You can pretend to be someone's friend, in my case, my friend had a Wight and I did 2 Mind Grinds. So he's got a 30/30 creature and then I Grisly Spectacled it. He was very angry.

Deck discussion for Lazav's Dream

Hi i'm playing a mono blue Mill Deck, and theres a lot of good Black milling cards. So the Blue/Black milling Deck is a great idea!

But personally, i would use less creatures and more sorceries and instants since their cost is lower and it's faster to empty your oponent's graveyards than counting on creatures.

So here's what i would drop in your deck, because these cards are not milling the oponent's deck fast enough or milling their deck at all:

- Dimir Keyrune (milling with sorceries and instants cost 2 to 3 mana so dont need that extra mana)
- Balustrade Spy (will mill from one to 3 cards max, plus this creature cost too much)
- Cloudfin Raptor (has nothing to do there, replace by Cathartic Adept would fir better in that deck)
- Deathcult Rogue (you want to win by discarding all your opponent's Library, not by killing him)
- Desecration Demon (have no room in that deck)
- Mortus Strider (Useless in that deck as well)
- Thrill-Kill Assassin (It's deathtouch, but does nothing more to your milling plan)
- Undercity Informer (You don't need to sacrifice your creature to male your oponent's discard his Library, keep your creatures for defense while your sorceries and your instants does the job)
- Murder (You won't have to kill oponent's creature since he won't have that much creature on the battlefield)
- Destroy the Evidence (will mill from one to 3 cards max, plus this creature cost too much)
- Shadow Slice (You will win by Discarding your oponent's Library, not by droping him to 0 life)
- Watery Grave (Useless in that deck since you'll have to pay 2 life)

Here's one good creature you could add to your deck : Merfolk's Mesmerist. his Ability is quite usefull to make your oponent drops his Library faster.

Good Instant you could use:

- Negate (Will help you control your oponent's hand))
- Mana Leak (Will force your oponent's into wasting mana, or counter spell so it's a very good 2 in 1)
- Brain Freeze (Cost only 2 Mana to discard 3 cards from your oponent's Library, Priceless)

Good Artifact : Howling Mine (Tap it at the end of your turn to prevent your oponent from drawing more cards, untap it before your draw step to get your extra cards, works well with Jace's Erasure)

Good Enchant to get :

- Jace's Erasure (a must in your deck if you plan on using Howling Mine)

Good Sorceries you should use:

- Ponder (Cost only one, makes you draw more cards, works well with Jace's Erasure, Helps you set up your next upkeeps)
- Tome Scour (Cost only one, makes your oponent discards his Library quite fast!)
- Traumatize (Priceless)

Once again, i'm playing blue on a mill deck so all cards i spoke earlier are blue, but they are very nice cards to add to your deck.

For the removal i told you earlier, it's only my opinion so eel free to do whatever you see fits the best to your play style.
But I can tell you this : i ron only 7 creatures in my deck, did about 30 games with my blue Mill deck and lost only twice.

Hope this helped you and pretty nice deck this far.

Have a nice day!

Those are good cards, but they aren't standard... And from what I can tell this is a standard deck. Although I do agree on some of the creatures.

Thanks, I will try with less creatures and more other spells, I'm getting a box tomorrow so that will help.

Overwhelming consistency is key. Try to figure out what the most important cards in the deck are and build the deck around those. You should have at least three of each the cards you would use the most (not including legendaries; never more than two of those) and beyond that, maybe two of the support cards. For instance, your primary milling capacity comes from sorceries and instants like Mind Sculpt. Include more of those like Cerberus said, and leave out the loss of life stuff. Traumatize is your friend, unless you're going for standard. I can't tell since this deck is based on the Dimir starter deck and hasn't been adjusted very much from that template.

The consistency definitely does help. I did really well today against my friends. The cards that weren't here last time, I got in a booster box we opened.
