Deck Description

This budget-priced legacy deck quickly builds an unstoppable elf army. I've played it and worked on it for a long time and it works pretty solidly. Most recent change was swapping 4 forests for Lannowar Elves. The deck can work just fine off 3 lands so I think it will be okay to have the low land balance. Once I've got 3-4 land, I'd rather draw elves anyway.

How to Play

Get out elves as fast as possible, as many as possible. Try not to let them die early on. Take a hit if needed, then gain life back with wellwisher if the heavy hitters don't come up soon enough. Wellwisher can keep you alive for a long time if you aren't drawing the cards you need. Once Tribal Forcemage is drawn, play him morphed. Unmorph enough elves are out to trample through opponent's forces. Use Taunting Elf to get more damage through to the player. Preferably have a Wirewood Pride in hand or use Timberwatch Elf to hit as hard and fast as possible.

If counterspells are a problem, sideboard in Gaea's Herald. There are also Elvish Lyrist and Elvish Scrapper to take care of opponents with problematic enchantments or artifacts. Elvish Soultiller can keep you from getting milled. But usually the deck plays pretty good without any of that. Just get out elves quickly and slam the opponent.
