Deck Description

pretty consistent speed infect. didnt have 4 inkmoth, but works like a charm. i couldnt decide between swiftfoots or livewire, because with live wire u can win w/out attacking, but swift foot screws o-ring and destroy/removal.any way, BE SURE TO TELL IN THE COMMENTS WHAT OUR FAV EQUIPMENT IS!!

Deck discussion for 3-4 TURN WINS

typical B/U infect deck, sorry, i feel bad, this is like the 5th deck ive commented negatively on in a row due to unorigionality

What's the problem about being unoriginal? Look at my caw-blade deck. Caw-blade is probably the most famous deck at this very moment, but still the fact that not every player plays magic the same and even a single card taken out can make one hell of a difference, I think that you just can't be super-unoriginal in MTG. How would you actually feel if I told you I'd have seen all your decks and told you they weren't original, just because I saw some decks that used the same colors and the same strategy?

There is a reason why Grave Titan is in every blue-black control deck. It's probably the strongest bomb you can play on turn 6 in blue-black. The same goes for decks like this. Mutagenic growth is everywhere, because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Don't say some decks are unoriginal just because they have the same engine running. It's the little adjustments that make decks unique, and makes some decks win where other decks with the same engine but different cards in certain spots would lose. It all depends on what your player style is...

Unless you began playing the game in Alpha or Beta... I'm pretty sure you've never had an original deck either Final. Get over it.

I'd choose for the card Livewire lash, because it makes you win the game if you can cast a couple of Mutagenic growths on the creature it's equipping. Livewire lash also boosts the power of the equipped creature, what certainly pays off if you manage to equip it to Inkmoth Nexus or something like that.
I'd suggest trying to pick up more inkmoth nexuses, but there is nothing else I would change here...
looks pretty solid. Nice job...

looks nasty, but tough to tell which would win. if i got a couple fireslingers out fast enough and made it to turn 5 or 6, then you might be in trouble ;)

Looking at this deck, I love it. Infect seems to be broken. Surprised that i do not see any infect decks at any tournaments. But if you are looking for speed, then why have Skitles? If they are not dead or 9 poison counters by turn 5, then you are probably in trouble.

I would switch out the Virulent Swipes for Virulent wounds. Easy way to get rid of the 1/1 blockers and give them a poison counter at the same time.

Mutagenic growth is good but titanic growth i think may be better. +4/+4 for 2 mana.

Also, a good pump up for black would be Dark Favor. +3/+1 at the cost of 2 mana and 1 life. Placed on an unblockable creature... 4 poison counters in 1 hit.

I would also sideboard some sort of counter spells in the sideboard for the things that you cant account for.

Maybe another rat.

With infect, you want to bash as soon as you can. Once they establish and counter, you probably wont get another poison counter on them. The deck i posted has nothing higher than 2 mana cost anything. With the blue, cast a blighted agent. next turn put either titanic growth or dark favor on it. that would be 4 or 5 poison counters turn 2. if you used dark favor, turn 3 could be 4/1 unblockable pumped to a 8/5 with another titanic growth or 6/3 with mutagenic growth. either way thats game.

I think my only suggestion would be Corrupted Conscience and Apostle's Blessing. Maybe not mainboard because I really like everything you have in there, though I haven't seen it played. Sideboarding them would be nice. I think my only chance of beating this deck with my http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=225430 deck would be to sideboard in some Marrow Shards and smaller creatures. This may be too fast for me too handle.

I play with a very sim deck and I've found that when playing against mainly white/red decks Phyrexian Crusaders are pretty amazing, Protection from white and red with the cost of 3 mana. Usually I will sub the HOP because of their cost

i'd say sideboard some phyrexian crusaders then if ur going against a deck with either red or white, then just switch em in for the ichor rats

eh, nothing too spectacular. I swear the only reason some decks make it to front page is cause people have groupies voting them up. :/

This is a powerful deck for sure. I would want to play against it with the exact opposite colors, yet fast and powerful deck RWG i have made here. Nice job on your deck im sure it wrecks tournaments. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=227975

I actually own a similar deck, but i use more artifacts (especially plague myr). Personally, i'd sideboard the boots and put the lash in the main deck.

BTW, What do you guys think of this deck:

This deck looks deese! But is it ready for modern? I don't know, but i do know that the deck listed here is sure to rock to modern format: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=227765 (it wins easily on turn 3)

I made a r/b casual infect deck with Livewire Lash and it a keycard, but... 2 things, 1. I made it before m12 and 2. It really is built arround not even attacking, just winning with pings and such, take a look if you have time ^_^ http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=170442

as for this deck, seems almost too mean, just like all infect decks :P

this is bullshit, my infect can win easly at the 2nd turn or at the 3rd and it still doesn't even have 1 like :(

whatever... instead 4 swiftfoot boots i'd go for 4 unholy strength's

I'd sideboard some Doom Blades to use against artifact creatures, since Go for the Throat only targets non-artifact creatures.
I'm a few cards short of building this deck, can't wait to use it. Good work.

If I were to make a blue/black infect deck (I've considered it before), this is almost exactly what I would make. Blighted Agents, Plague Stingers, DISTORTION STRIKES (amazing card), Mutagenic Growths... the only thing I would have different is I would include Tezzeret's Gambit, because I love me some card draw. That seriously about it haha.

Good job, man! I'm going to have to put up a u/b infect now!
