misschien Hunted HorrorThis is an improved version of my previous deck around Varolz. After taking into account comments and other decks around this theme i tried to make it more consistent at hitting early and hitting hard.I also decided to keep it modern legal so i could play with it at the occasional Modern FNM.I am the worst sideboarder in the world. I have no idea what good cards to put in there.lastly, this is a semi-budget deck. it's not meant to win tournaments and GP's. so no maelstorm pulse or fetchlands because those cards are too expensive.
standard combo is mill myself to get all the juicy cards like death's shadow in the graveyard. put down varolz and lotleth troll on the battlefield, slap some counters on lotleth by scavenging and hit my opponent in the face. bloodghast is there to put some pressure on my opponent when the combo takes too long to find.some return to hand spells to get varolz or lotleth troll out of the graveyard if i milled them.for the sideboard: I took some anti-graveyardhate in the form of riftsweeper, some disruptive spells like night terrors en dimir machinations to disrupt combo decks. dimir machinations does double duty for finding Varolz or other 3 mana spells. Lastly gnaw to the bone helps getting some life back against aggro decks that are faster than me or decks with a high creature count that will try to kill me before the lol troll can whack there face in.

redundancy basicly. if i could, i would put 5 ghoulcallers chant in the deck. so i just popped a treasured find in it because i have those lying around. i might cut back on them now that you mention it. the selfmilling aspect of the deck has reduced a bit since the first iteration so i need less cards that help me out of an awkward situation when my key cards are milled in my graveyard.
well I would find a way to run at least 2x since it can also fetch back your spells (the few that you have) or if your not interested in that you can just use Disentomb.also you may want to look into options for trample since the only creature you have that can do that is Lotleth, and if an answer is found for him you couldbe chump blocked for the rest of the game and your 39/39 Varolz can only cry. So Nylea gives trample to all of creatures you control or there is also my personal favorite Rancor. just some thought
