Deck Description

I have a deck built for each colour, colour pair and colour wedge. This is the Red deck in that line. It's trying to make a bunch of creatures to target with Zada and go wide and tall.

Disclaimer:
I like to keep my decks below a certain threshold of power, therefore I do not play fast mana or tutors that cost less than 3 mana. I also don't really play fetchlands until the deck gets to 3 or more colours, or if I need to trigger landfall abilities.

All of my decks are designed for purpose of sitting down with a group of friends and just having fun. I don't design my decks to be competitive at all. I do, however, pick a plan and then optimize my deck around that plan.

Before making recommendations, please know that the bottom line for all of my decks is whether or not I think it's fun to play or play against.

Deck discussion for The Hedron Grinder

Personally think Zada is quite a boring commander to pilot and the gameplan of the deck in always so linear, rarely with a lot of nuance. Not hating on your deck or anything, but the style of play is quite a bore to me and to top it all off most Zada decks are utterly useless without her.

What's your opinion?

Typically I only get to play edh once or twice a month, so I don't play the decks enough to get bored of them.

Zada is linear and reliant on the commander sticking around. However, usually when I cast Zada I already have a good enough board presence that I can go off. I can usually fight through a couple of removal spells. Sometimes I want to turn the brain off and play dudes and spells.
