Deck discussion for Choked out

Your general idea is very good.

You may want to add some counterspells to keep yourself well protected.
Other than that might I suggest you look at this card: Seedborn Muse.

I have a similar deck to yours but I focus more on non-land permanents:

Check it out it may prove inspirational. If you need anymore help just post a note on one of my more recent decks.

counter spells would provide good early protection. but once i have 4 mana this deck should keep you locked down pretty tight. with rising waters and a tangle wire in play, your pretty much tapped out for 2-3 turns. which is plenty of time to set up the win.

Hmm. What about a draw mechanism? Mind spring? Divination?
I think 3 garruks should work great instead of four too. My 2c!

i use gush=divination but with the option to cast by returning islands.
and arcanis= combo with mind over matter tapped everything on opponents side and get your rude awakening to smash them,,,, and if needed use garruks overrun ability.

With all the land untap and return to hand you have in there, you might want to work in a few Winter Orbs. It would also have the benefit of targeting the tangle wire more at creatures as lands will likely be tapped.
