mostly a mil deck not too good u play a game of guess how many spells i can play and playing defence thats not how u win its how u survive

I really dont consider this a mill deck at all. Its all about control. Its not so much defense, but a different type of offense. It stips the opponent of all resources and then strikes. The diabolic & chainer's edict destroy creatures until you get the tainted aether out. Distress, duress, and thoughtseize get rid of any other potential threats(direct damage, counterspells,etc). Hymn to tourach deprives their hand more. This gives you complete control almost. You will realize when the opponent is vulnerable and then can destroy them with drain life & consume spirit. In essence it is a mono black control deck.
Gotta agree that it's a control deck. I would run sinkholes if you have them and maybe one other card for land destruction. (rain of tears, icequake, choking sands, whatever.) It would help you take full advantage of tainted aether. Maybe a way to search for it too. I don't know what you would use. Diabolic intent's out since you're not playing creatures, and everything else either sucks or is banned. maybe diabolic tutor? I guess? I just posted a deck that uses Isochron scepter with creature direct removal and it works out really well. Oh yeah, dash hopes is great too

how often do you find yourself having 6 or more swamps? Corrupt could be of great use here
it's not a mill deck!!!! nice mono black crontrol. But I think you can still get overrunned by weenies/ aggro decks. Add 3 damnation instead of diablolic edict. Its sorcery. Then add 4 sinkholes!! And remove distress remove 1 swamps and add a strip mine and a wasteland. Maybe some drawing is nice. But, I got to say nice deck
