This is my first deck ever built. Simple make the opponent discard while attacking with myriad of creatures. Advice is welcome.

Hi valas. I appreciate that this is your first deck and it's not bad, it's just a bit muddled. If you're prepared to spend a bit of money, you could turn this into perhaps three awesome decks (discard, vampire, + zombies). I personally run a discard and a vampire deck, but zombie decks are cool too. Since you've described this as a discard deck, I'll give you a couple of tips on that but if you do want help with a vampire deck, just say. Firstly, you gotta work out which cards fit the theme and get more of those. I would recommend you keep lilana's caress permanently, and horrifying revelation, distress, hymn to tourach and mind rot for now any way. Duress is cool too but I prefer ostracise. Probs keep blood gift demon and get a few spectres as well.

Thank you for the comment. My thoughts were that the creature side was a bit muddled. Duress was one that I struggled with since it really only seemed to get rid of artifacts. Were the other spells that you didn't mention on track? I don't mind spending some money in the future but with a few deck building toolkits to work with my selection was limited. I have played some casual games with friends and it seems that my discard deck puts me at a disadvantage with: one, I end up short handed i.e. 1-2 cards in my hand and I can't seem to take them down with anything i.e. direct dmg or creatures. Thanks again for the input. MTG can be a little overwhelming for a noob getting into it late.
Fair, well I'm 23 and only got back into last year after a five year break. But yeah, swap out duress for ostracise like I said, get more blood gift demons, and maybe guul draaz spectre. Any spectre creatures help with discard though so check out, liliana's spectre, hypnotic spectre and abyssal spectre too. The great thing about them is they make opponents discard cards but you get a creature on the table as well. Other creatures like that are relentless rats, thrull surgeon etc... And they cost a bit less mana to play. It's important to remember to keep a good mana curve and the great thing about this site is that you don't even have to count anymore. Other cards to check out are enchantments like larceny or underworld dreams.
Thank you again for your input. I did get a few Innastrad packs last night and have a few creatures that make players drop cards - relentless rats, a Dimir Guildmage , and a few others that I was going to put in the deck. What do you think about a few Sign in Blood or Diabolic Tutors to keep cards in hand?
Oh nice, I didn't realise they'd reprinted relentless rats again, it's such a classic. Yeah, diabollic tutor's a good card to have until you've bought all the other cards you need (usually for around four mana). At least you'll be able to search for your key cards like your demon or liliana's caress. Sign in blood's ok too, it just costs life if you use it on yourself. If you do end up getting underworld dreams ever, then keep it though, cause you can punish your opponents for drawing twice! And then, just make them discard the cards anyway, so you haven't even given away a small advantage. Dunno, either go down the underworld dreams, blood gift demon, sign in blood route OR for a more classic discard with like the rack and nyxathid.
