As I await the return of the Simic guild in the upcoming Gatecrash set I decided I'd dust off and revamp my old birthing pod deck. Being I play in a casual format with a handful of friends I also decided to make this variant more of a beatdown deck weather then relying so much on deathtouch. Research is meant to be used to access the sideboard to break out only more helpful cards when paired with Birthing Pod some of which can quickly be accessed with Beast Tracker. As I get to use the sideboard in such a way I couldn't resist throwing a Wolrdspine Wurm in there to see the looks of everyones face as I actually pull of playing him for 11 mana.
