Deck Description

Just an interesting concept, not sure how practical it is, but with the right cards, an interesting one.

How to Play

Simple, use the ramp artifacts to bring out the Door, then reuse them to bring out the cards the will trip the door's ability!

Deck discussion for Door to... Winning?

nice deck.

I actually like this deck a lot. A few quick comments--it needs more land, and it definitely needs shocks. The mana base here is pretty rough, even given the number of artifacts.

I will put the shock lands in the sideboard, only to keep the cost down, but I agree with you, I still haven't worked out all the kinks in this deck, seeing that I made this about an hour ago.

I'm confused as to why you have so many cards that regenerate artifacts. Is that just to help you stall?

composite golem. for 6 mana you get 2 of each for the door

Sacrifice is unaffected by regeneration. Because regeneration says the next time it would be "destroyed."

I suggest a couple cards like Bringer of the White Dawn, Scarecrone, or Second Sunrise.

Yeah...I don't think you know how sacrifice and regenerate mechanics work.

How did this deck make it to the front page when it doesn't even work!?

Sorry everybody, I just looked up the ruling for regeneration, and sacrificing a creature means that the creature cannot be regenerated.
@Mcholypotato Thank you for saying something. It made me look up the ruling for regeneration. Other than that, this deck works just fine. There is only one little flaw with the ruling.
Oh, and apparently everybody else thought the same thing I did

it looks good, but i think you should take out two palladium myrs and add a land.

well, the palladium myrs tap for 2, so I will figure out how to get another land in there

It needs some improvement in certain areas. I will give it a like when i see that it has the kinks worked out of it!

Instead of regenerating maybe you could use undiying? It would be very specific but would that work?
Use, for example, Undying Evil on Composite Golem sacrifice it and then, as it died, return it to the battlefield?

1

I have never thought of that. Give me a second to look at the ruling for that

1
Posted 15 November 2013 at 05:30

So, I looked it up, and yes, you can do that, however the only card that does that is black, and sadly, this deck does not have the capability of producing a constant supply of black mana to fuel this

1

you should just add 4 drowned catacombs or something like that

0

I could, but still, with this deck, seeing as fragile as it is, I want to avoid adding in a third color to it if possible. I might do this, I don't know if I will ever actual buy this deck, maybe some day proxy it, and then I can make a decision about many of these cards.

If you're building on a budget, not a bad deck at all. If you don't have a limit on costs and whatnot, why not go all the way to Omnidoor? Not all that high priced anymore since most of it's stuff cycled out of standard, and still extremely fun. Here's my decklist for it!

also might wana look into tinker, that way you could sac an artifact and bring door out instantly and say you have two composite golems out, boom thats a win

0

You need a playset of fabricate and a playset of tinkers

i saw Doubling Cube in another deck and i think it could be useful in yours. it could quickly give you the 2 of each color you need for the door to nothingness

0

That is a thought, I never considered doing it that way, and that gives you another way to ramp mana! There are so many combos to make this deck work and it is awesome!

and with 4 doors you can win in multi games! lol

0

ya.. unfortunately, that isn't very practical. It is hard to get setup just to use one door. You might be surprised how hard it was to build this deck, because there is no shortcut to activating the ability of door to nothingness with out actually paying the cost.

In my opinion, this is a really awesome deck. I really like how you make the whole deck playable, and actually pretty good, and keep the door as the focal point. Could you try one for the artifact Mindsculpter? (Legendary artifact, mythic. Cost: 6 mana, {t}{4} sacrifice Mindsculpter, you control target opponent during their next turn; it leaves the head at its most vunerable)

You mean Mindslaver. I never knew about this card, and this would certainly be an interesting on to add in, but where to put it is the problem

I love the idea behind this deck, great idea.
With all the ramp you have at your disposal have you looked into putting flash into the deck? Something like Shimmer Myr would be my suggestion. What could be taken out is really your choice but I would suggest 1 Myr Welder and 1 Semblance Anvil. The flash lets your door hit on your opponents end and win on your upkeep. Thus causing rage for days.
Just a thought.
