Deck Description

I recently heard of wolf run decks, and I decided I would give it a try and build one! It seems to be going pretty well so far!

***Thanks for all the support!***
May I just say, this is a fun deck to play!

How to Play

The idea is to overrun you opponent with wolfs. Simple. Just ramp up the mana to do it.

Interesting deck, have you considered populating cards?

Yes, I have, but since it only copies one creature and they are mostly white, I decided not to put them in, especially because I won't be generating more than a 2/2 token

Howl of the night pack, doubling season, overrun, rancor, parallel lives, druid's deliverance, kessig cagebreakers, master of the wild hunt. Just some wolf related ideas, or ideas to help get damage through.

actually, this deck gives me an idea, doubling chant, and master of the wild hunt would both be great in this deck

all of these would be great cards in this deck, but since the deck doesn't focus on ramp, some of these are not practical ideas, however, some of these will be put in the deck, thanks for bringing them to my attention

no. huntsmaster of the fells is good but not with immerwolf. huntsmaster is good if he keeps transforming.

That's true. Forgot about immer wolf.

Really inmerwolf and hunt master isn't that bad.
You have a 3/3 two life a 5/5 trample a shock to a creature and a shock to A player. Seems like a deal

The thing about most decks, is that they play a spell every turn, most of the time 2 or 3. So I tried to stay away from transforming cards, except Garruk.

Typically I agree the reason hunt master was good is because he never has to transform to be good.

But he's right about the Mayor

Wren's Run Packmaster. I mean, you already have the elves for Champion-ing, and it makes wolves and gives all the wolves Deathtouch.

Thanks, I never did much searching around for this deck, so this helps!

With all that token-making ways, you're missing the Parallel Lives.

Well, this is the third comment saying this, so I guess I should add it in. LOL!

I tested this deck, and it is amazing! Really, really a pleasure to play. Won a couple of games while doing it!

Have you thought about putting in Rootbound Crag? Personally, seems like a better choice for dual-land (Or can even run both if you want)

ya, I considered it, not sure what duel land to put in at this point

There's stomping ground. A little pricey though. Could run something like vivid crag as well.

I could, but i tried to keep the cost down, though I had to make an exception with some of the cards in order to get the deck to work, but those lands are not really needed, and the balance is pretty good right now, I don't really need to add them in unless I see a huge lack in efficiency.

This deck is an amazingly fun one to play, I proxied the cards and played a few games, and it was really fun. This deck works great, it is not the best deck in the world, but it will definitely win you some games. I would say about 2/3 games would be a win, however, this doesn't do well against decks that use other means of winning, like a valakut ramp deck, (although most decks aren't good against decks like those). Anyway, my first game with this deck, I had 12 wolfs, each with deathtouch, and they all needed to be blocked by 2 creatures. So, the opponent basically had to sacrifice 2 of his creatures just to block a 2/2 wolf. It was kind of funny! Hope that this helps!
