I initially used Managorger Hydra in the Black/Green into deck for Magic Origins, and I love boosting up creatures with +1/+1 counters, so I thought, why not center a deck around that?
You want to hit a land drop every turn up to turn 4 at least. Ideally you want to put down a Kin-Tree Warden on Turn 1, a Herald, or Anafenza on turn 2, then a Morphed Mystic or Dragonslayer on Turn 3. The Mystic can stay down until you need to flip him to cover the cost of casting Surrak Dragonclaw, or can even give you the mana to steal with Yasova Dragonclaw if you don't have the right taplands arranged yet.Celestial Flare can clear blockers out of your path or protect you from attackers, and Dromoka's Command is highly versatile, purging enemy enchantments, or acting as removal with lifegain with the last two effects, if used on Hidden Dragonslayer or Champion of Arashin. Any of your three big Legends can leap out of the gate with double strike, and a quick Hero's Blade for nearly lethal damage.

I've been considering some other options for the deck..Going deeper into Fate Reforged/Khans of Tarkir to pick up some more Warrior threats like Mardu Woe-Reaper (Strong hoser for Deathmist Raptor), Warden of the First Tree (A great one-drop with lots of mid-late pressure), Daghatar the Adamant (Plays well with a lot of the +1/+1 counters I'll have bouncing around) or Tuskguard Captain (Plays amazingly well with Daghatar, Anafenza, Arashin Foremost, and Gleam of Authority for big trample finishes)
