Hi! Maybe by the time I reply you have already found out but anyway...

EDH stands fo Elder Dragon Highlander. The main difference with "normal" mtg is that you choose a legendary creature as your General, and this card starts in a place called "commander zone" from which you can cast it at any time. Highlander actually means that you can include only 1 copy of each card other than basic lands. The format was created with multiplayer in mind and is all about big plays, as games tend to go for longer and having lots of mana is not usually an issue. It's a blast to play and is the only format I play nowadays :-)

More info about the rules here: http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php

This list, btw, is quite old and I have surely made several updates to it. I am strongly considering making this deck a "creature only" deck, just for the sake of it ;-)

Any suggestions will be welcome!

Cheers

Thanks for the comment!

I agree with you, there's very little ramp (I'm not sure if dreamstone hedrom counts as "ramp"), I could definetely add the signets and a sol ring right there. I do run the Urborg-Coffers combo, with Expedition map + Tolaria west + other tutors to assemble it, but it does not happen every time, I can assure you that.

Stuff like the womfang drake is in cuz I like the idea of removing sharuum with it, then blink it so that Sharuum's ETB triggers again then recast drake on Sharuum to protect it. Faceless butcher was in there for the same reason, but took the cut earlier... so maybe is time for the drake to go too.

I'll try to cut some of the higher cmc stuff without touching the sphinxes. Maybe cutting some of the non-artifact creatures, and including some more artifact recursion spells no avoid relying on Sharuum for reanimation.

Also, I think the enchantments must go.

I see how your lands dying might not be that much of a problem... in that case, have you considered Jolrael, Empress of Beasts? I use it in my token deck (not in mtgvault yet) as a deterrent to wraths, but I think it would do a good job too after a Pernicious deed activation.

Still prefer Svogthos over the tomb, feels good to attack for 10+ to an empty board after a wrath :-)

Nice set of enchantments, btw. I tend to put too many that are "good in general", instead of a few key ones. Of course, I don't own any SotF, I'll run it in EVERY green deck if I did!

Looks solid. Comments:

BoP - I usually don't pack any mana acceleration in the form of creatures, since they die all the time.
Woodwraith Corrupter - How is this working for you? I am allways hesitant to include it in any of my decks...
Tomb of Urami - Really? What is your plan for this? Looks like a HUGE drawback for a not so spectacular benefit. Svogthos, the restless tomb seems much better to me, even with the lack of evasion.
Urborg tomb of Yawgmoth, but no Cabal Coffers?
Cheers!

Thanks for the comment, I don't like the type of decks that are usually built around Sharuum. I actualy wanted to build an artifact deck, but ended up adding the sphinx subtheme, because Sharuum is a sphinx and, well, I love sphinxes :-)

I am not too happy with the deck, though. Does not seem to work properly, maybe it's because it lacks focus? I would appreciate any suggestions!
