The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Simic Combine. Evolve. Originally this deck had 90 cards. I took out ones that helped very little and got new ones to compensate for weaknesses.

Edit: 2.1 - Removed 2 Negates and added 2 Hindervines. Also added cards to Sideboard.
Edit: 2.2 - Replaced Levitation with a Sapphire Drake in the Sideboard. Added another Gyre Sage and a Planeswalker; Tamiyo, the Moon Sage.

How to Play

I try to summon the weaker creatures that have evolve power first. That way they evolve when I bring out slightly stronger creatures. Cards that allow me to draw cards and change counters around allow me to adapt to change battlefield conditions.

Edit: 2.1 - Sideboard cards switch in depends on my opponent.

What do you think of my sideboard now?

Burst of Strength is a really really fun response card. Bread for the hunt and Miming Slime are also cards i like. I've never used Expirimental one, It's interesting, but I don't play with that style. Oh, and Sleep is a great game winner card. Levitate can be nice, Though it's a hard decision between that and Sapphire drake :P

Ditch the Hover Barriers as they don't fit the theme, you also don't need the evolving wilds as you only have 2 types of lands. The reliquary tower is also superflous, as with this curve, and the lack of draw, you won't have the tower often enough to justify the tower.

You should also sideboard the nat, as a singleton is not enough to justify mainboarding it in this deck

The Hover Barriers are nice for evolving because they have a strong Defense. I would probably put in Leyline Phantom Instead. The reliquary tower is only really nice with the Prime Speaker Zegana. And i'd prob keep the evolving wilds in case if ur having a bad game and can't get the specific type of mana you need. Put its ultimately ur choice. =D

Hover Barriers give me good defense and help evolve the creatures mid game when they already have a counter or two. I do have a Leyline Phaantom in my sideboard, but I haven't used him in a game yet.

Yeah that's why I keep the Evolving Wilds, I've had games where I'm drawing mostly Islands and desperately need a Forest. It has saved me. I'm looking for Master Biomancer to add to this deck. And maybe another Reliquary Tower, with the 2nd Tower replacing an Island probably.

Thank you for your comments and advice.

This could easily turn into an EDH deck with a bit of tweaking. You could use Vorel of the Hull Clade, Prime Speaker Zegana, or Experiment Kraj as your commander.

True. Perhaps I'll try it.
