Didn't put a whole lot of thought into it, but, Hour of Reckoning and Twilight Drover are pretty solid in a deck like this.

Faithless Looting? It counts as two spells for one card, and it can potentially help you get an oh so necessary creature. And to a lesser extent, I also run two Soul's Fire in a somewhat similar deck.
T'was a joke sir. Note the colon and capital 'p'.
Mer-fuck a duck that's a whole lot of comment. You get a like, purely based off the themed tie-in of this dude going way off the deep end here. Good luck with yer decks the both of you.
I like your deck. I've always had a soft spot for Mind Funeral, even though I think the most I have personally ever seen it mill was like 9 cards... Anyways, here's my suggestion. Control. Your deck desperately needs some control. It only wins in the mid-late game, but I have a hard time believing its gonna live long enough to see it most games. Aetherize (or non-modern Propaganda) vs. aggro, Thoughseize type effects vs. control... Even something as simple as Unsummon or Boomerang can save your ass in a pinch, or bring in an Aberration for the kill. ... Just realized this deck is from 2014, so I'm likely not speaking to anyone, well, good luck with your deck. Cheers.
Lightning Bolt. :P
Nice, Bomat is super good, and I totally agree with dropping black.
Suggestions: Atog, Phyrexia's Core, Ichor Wellspring.I like your deck. Specifically the overall concept and the implements. These new spellbombs are pretty cool after taking a lesson from chromatic star. Anyways, right off the bat, I worry you don't have enough ways of sacrificing artifacts. It seems your bound to have situations where you have a bunch of worthless trinkets in play and no way to collect on them. And unfortunately I know nothing of sets since theros (when the new boarders showed up) so anything I would suggest wont fit the look... Other than perhaps Ichor Wellspring, which I think they reprinted. Anyways, cheers and good luck with fine-tuning this beast.
Sure, but the deck will never be as bad as this one if you don't arbitrarily add 3 other combos that have no interaction with it.
Suggestions: Fabricate, Thoughtcast or Thirst for Knowledge, and Elixir of Immortality.I like your deck. I like the ridiculous overkill and lack of caring about what your opponent's doing, that it represents. But considering EVERYTHING hinges on Thopter/Sword, you may want to consider having at least, like, one way of setting that up. I mean, Fabricate, Muddle the Mixture, Reshape, Disciple of Deceit, draw spells. Anything besides crossing your fingers and hoping to randomly top deck is usually good for a combo deck... Also, Quest for Ancient Secrets seems super out of place, especially a whole playset. If your really worried about mill, why not Elixir of Immortality? It's an artifact, so it triggers and activates like half your deck, it does the same thing as Quest plus gains you life, and it's easier to activate... I can't imagine you're actually afraid of decking yourself with Padeem. He at most draws one card a turn, and it's basically conditional on you already having your combo in play. Or maybe you meant you'd run out of cards because of infinite turns. Doesn't matter, your combo is out, the game is over, you won.
Now do thopter sword/dragonstorm/splinter twin/protean hulk.
hahaha.... Isochron Scepter was your idea?
Holy shit. I'm crazy excited about commenting on this deck! First and foremost, I rate this deck +32/10.Enemy Changer is a dope card. Sucks that it costs 3 mana after Ephemeral Scolder hits the board though. But I guess that's what the white border lands are for... Duh. Oh, and Echelon Rubble for sure hits every single Arachnid Warbler. Huge weakness indeed social retard.I had a deck just like this, but instead of Parade and locks Hoze I ran a playset of Slumberer's Egg with Dumbening Cudgel imprinted on it. But then again I am a master magicer. I literally make decks of any level of power.... Ok, I'm done. This is very similar to the first deck I ever proxied. If your still around, they've printed some crazy powerful cards for this type of deck. There are multiple doubling season type cards, and proliferate happened, infect.... All sorts of good shit.
Frozen Aether?
Dark Intimations seems kinda obvious.
leonin shikari + lightning greaves.
I'd say reincarnation is more of a "how do I get this huge creature into play on turn 3" kinda card. Basically in your deck, you have no reliable method of fulfilling its condition, you're more or less hoping your opponent fulfills it for you. Which may work some of the time, but will certainly suck every time it doesn't, but an Evolution Charm would have. I'de honestly run Shielding Plax over Reincarnate any day.As far as what to remove, I'm not the best guy for that. I would probably make alot of changes myself. But not necessarily for the better, I just don't make decks with 5-6 mana cost cards. My brain can't handle that kind of commitment... Look, just playtest, playtest, playtest. Nothing will better tell ya what you got too much and too little of. I use a free MTGO clone called Cockatrice, though there are others....
eh... just mulligan till you get that lightning greaves and youll be fine.
They would cast it while your discard is still on the stack... Its the fatal flaw of Maralen, your opponent gets to search first. Early Maralen decks, or at least all my iterations, included ways to flash her in, or bounce her out on opponent turns. Otherwise she only works if your opponent doesn't have instant speed removal somewhere in their deck. And god help you if your playing against a dedicated 'control' deck...
I feel like it is safe to assume the card they search for is an instant to get rid of Maralen tho. If not they may be doing it wrong.
