Cool deck. I would recommend having some instant-speed discard spells. Your opponent pays the three life to get the exact card that he needs, and the card that he only has one of, because it's commander, but then you make them discard it. They'll never get a chance to play that again.

I feel like it is safe to assume the card they search for is an instant to get rid of Maralen tho. If not they may be doing it wrong.
but if that's what they searched for, then they'll lose it to your discard, and then they won't be able to kill Maralen.
They would cast it while your discard is still on the stack... Its the fatal flaw of Maralen, your opponent gets to search first. Early Maralen decks, or at least all my iterations, included ways to flash her in, or bounce her out on opponent turns. Otherwise she only works if your opponent doesn't have instant speed removal somewhere in their deck. And god help you if your playing against a dedicated 'control' deck...
