First Red Deck

by wbbaxterbones on 02 December 2010

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sorceries (4)

Planeswalkers (2)

Artifacts (4)

Land (18)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My first (casual) red deck, can't you read the deck name!
This is still definitely a work in progress.

Comments/suggestions please! thanks in advance.

(not sure about which goblins to play, need some help there!)

It's now less than $30!!!

Is that good? Should I add one more of each and take out two of something else?

Personally, I'd go with another Ablaze rather then one of each Chandra. Ablaze will be the finisher once you get her to 7+ counters but you can decide on that yourself as Nalaar costs one less than Ablaze, starts with one more counter and could be just as equally a finisher.

As much as a staple Shocks are, I'd take them out for Burst Lightnings. Sure, you'll probably never have 5 open mana to use it with the kicker, but because it has an optional cost, this makes it more versatile then a Shock, even if the cost is 4 more.

I'm not feeling it with the Kindles. With only two in the deck, the most you'll get out of them is 5 total damage unless you're playing someone else who has Kindles as well. However, Scalding Tongs seems really interesting. I'd suggest taking out the Kindles for more Scalding Tongs. If your opponent doesn't have any artifact removal, you'll most likely be getting at least 1 damage on them each turn, which could potentially add up to more then 2 Kindles could do.
