Deck Description

Current build I'm running for my Iso-Pox frame. I've got a few more on the burner, but I'm not sure how I feel about them versus this.

Deck discussion for New macabre

I like it man, but I've been finding more and more with both Iso-Pox and Iso-Seek that I only need 2 copies of Scepter. I think you could drop down and add in some extra tech, or maybe even a 4th mox for extra speed. Chains is interesting to see in the SB...how well does it work, and what kind of situations do you use it in?

@_@ GET OUT OF MY HEAD! I just logged on to take out a scepter!

And Chains is AMAZING. It really shines against StoneBlade, xStill, and Tempo though. You want to play six cantrips, and a wallet sculptor? Be my guest, but you'll have to pay this small fee.

Haha, I'm an Extractor, it's my job to get in your head =P

And I figured that Chains was good, but when you mention those MU's, yeah it sounds like it'd do some damage to say the least.

True. I'm honestly surprised it's so easy to get away with just two Scepters though, but shoddy decks make for easy pickings.

If you haven't tried Chains in something, I seriously suggest it man. It can even be used against Reanimator when they try and play Jin-Gitaxias or Grisly.

Also, Wear // Tear might be one of the best artifact and enchantment killers yet. It's especially useful against CounterTop, and amusingly enough Extraction. Three mana instant speed hull breach? Oh yeah, I could definitely live without you having say, Meekstone and Blind Obedience on the field. :O

I believe it with W//T. I was contemplating putting a copy or two in either my Iso-Pox or Iso-Seek frames...It's good for a number of MU's.

I'd say go with two, it's the number I've found myself enjoying more than any other from testing. At least in Iso-x, I did a secondary version of the white based Parfait frame when I found that card, and I think even with the card filtration I'd want a third in the board.

looks incredibly fun.

why play raven's crime over the 4th thoughtseize? without life from the loam ravens crime doesn't seem that awesome. wouldnt you rather have targeted discard that can remove your opponents best card?

the one of torper orb seems strange in the board, i can think of a couple creatures it shuts down but none that warrant sideboard space. are you just bringing it in against x-blade decks?? ( SFM, Snappy, Clique)

Crucible lets RC be a powerful repetitive disrupt, which more often than not warrants the 3/1 split.

but RC says discard not sacrafice, so how does crucible help that at all?

i suppose you could play the land you discard, but to me, seeing my opponents hand and removing the card that's going to allow them to beat me, seems better than gambling on slow rolling a 1 card advantage..

i guess a few turns of drawing lands and binning em to RC will add up though. and in a deck like this, that effect must be frustrating

if either of you guys got time, i would appreciate some advice on this legacy deck i was working on..

As you said, you play the land you discard, which generally is Undiscovered Paradise in the late game, or any redundant land in the early. The deck functions well off of a decently small mana pool.

Torpor Orb vs StoneBlade is like Chains of Mephistopheles, but with the added benefit of stripping them of all hope. I play Torpor Orb because I'm a dick, nothing more, nothing less.

Sure man, I'll check it out. And while I'm excited about that, I'm more excited that people can no longer whine about Jace wars, and the new Liliana wars that broke out in Eternal formats. Got old fast.

Exactly, it's the promise of mana denial that makes RC good. Iso-Pox draws a lot of its power from the intense mana denial and mana burden it creates...having a repeatable source of card DISadvantage to your opponent is awesome.

Looking back on my original designs for a lot of things, I should have been able to tell I'd turn out a griefer.
