Deck Description

as blue is, very frustrating and a complete dick. I like control and I laugh as I mill so I thought "hey make a mono blue control deck, duh!" Hope you like it, please give me your thoughts and help me to improve on this deck, and if you feel generous you'd do the same for a few of my other decks.

How to Play

me : " I cast a mind sculpt, targeting you, you mill 7."

you: " In response, I cast negate targeting mind sculpt."

me: "In response I cast countermend countering negate, you mill 13 cards and I draw a card."

What did you do right?

1) You have mill spells.
They are much better than trying to play mill creatures.

2) You have scry and draw cards.
Scry and draw cards help make sure you have the cards you need.

3) Kraken Hatchling and Omenspeaker.
Offer great early turn protection.

4) Finally, back up plan includes Perilous Vault.
All else fails, and you are getting beat down badly, restart the battlefield with Perilous Vault.


Now, if you would like more honest critiques: Why do you have the Jace and 24 Islands?
What does Jace bring to the table?
Scry?
You already have 8 other scry cards...so Jace doesn't really help you with scrying.
Bounce?
He bounces an opponent's permanent for -3.
There are other bounce cards that do better like Boomerang or Capsize.
His -8 ability is counteractive to what you are trying to do.

24 Islands.
Not necessary.
Too many.
22 would work better.

Suggestions.
Take out 2 Islands and 2 Jace.
Put in 4 creatures that provide a second win condition.
