Deck Description

Mana ramp this time with Omnath and burn spells. And there are wolves. lots and lots of wolves. I might bump this up to tournament quality.

use quest for renewal to keep tapping for ridiculous amounts of mana, then when you have enough, use an X spell. can you say 50 damage? :)
another favorite combo of mine: kicked rite of replication + turntimber ranger. all 6 abilities happen at once, giving the 1st turntimber +5/+5 and putting 10 2/2 wolves into play.

in case anyone wants to make this, the deck costs a slightly affordable $136.67 at Star City Games (excluding shipping, handling, and tax), with what I already have, without the sideboard.

please rate and comment.

Deck discussion for Fueled Flames

On a whole, I like the deck. I'd like to see it in action. The only thing is I don't see everyone's fascination with Font of Mythos, the mine comes out sooner and therefore is quicker (and better my oppinion).

yeah It was originally gonna be mill, but then I reread Mind Spring and only I can draw cards. if I could have forced the opponent to draw, it would be more mill than anything else

You only get 10 2/2 tokens if you rite of replication on Turntimber Ranger. They all enter the field at the same time and their ability for "another ally coming into play" doesn't trigger... But the original one's does

611.3b The effect applies at all times that the permanent generating it is on the battlefield or the object generating it is in the appropriate zone. ~~~ Since the tokens are put onto the field at the same time, their continuous ability cannot activate because they aren't in "the appropriate zone"

damn. I was hoping that would work. either way, that's still a hell of a lot of wolves

Yeah, still enough to overpower most decks in standard

and with all the mana ramp I have in there it should be fairly easy to pull off. any ideas on the sideboard?

Hmm, I'm not too sure because the whole Allies idea never caught my attention very much... But I would suggest swapping out the Negates for Cancels. I would take out red alltogether, run Time Warps and Into The Roil because their kicker helps you put counters on the Ascension. Instead of mountains, do 1 forest, 1 island, and 1 magosi the waterveil, and maybe some Mold Shamblers for land destruction.

Oh, duh... wolfbriar elemental.... That's what I forgot to mention

the mountains are for the burn that dots the deck. I don't exactly feel comfortable putting my win condition into a creature. but the elemental is a good idea, though

Trust me, I play competitive Standard. Running a 3-color (especially r/g/b) is really hard to do successfully. You may pull the first win, but they will most likely be ready to remove/ping your mana sources during later games. Also, replace the soaring seacliff with that land that lets you change the order of the top 3 cards (I can't remember the name at the moment)

halimar depths. I'll put both in there. reason being Omnath needs a route through the defenses.

also remember that wolves are my secondary win condition, so I can always go with those if they decide to go with removal

At this point, I would take out both the Archmage Ascensions and the Negates. Take out one of the Quest for Renewal. Put in 3 Goblin Ruinblasters and two of the Wolfbriar Elementals from the sideboard.

I agree with your decision on the ascension. it really isn't needed. however, the ruinblasters get sideboarded. other than that thanks

you might want to add howl of the night pack. you get 2/2 wolf tokens for every forest you control

with 6 forests, I don't think so.
