Yeah, I know there's easier decks, but I've always been a combo nut. When I played at Vintage tournaments, I won 2 moxen running 2-Land Belcher. :)

I see no reason to run red right now, but I am considering cutting the Mox Diamonds in favor of either Underground Rivers (Seas are too pricey right now) or Serum Powders.

Omfg.....

That's a really cool concept there, I might see if I can find those cards cheap on MTGO tonight and try it out. The Kamigawa block wells up tons a good memories for me, as it's the last block I played in before I took my few year break.

Now.

WTF is with everyone? Every other comment is "itz cool but look at MY deck lololol" or "bet it wont beat MY deck COME COMMENT ON IT". Jesus! This isn't your deck don't spam your f***ing s**t all over it. Netiquette? Anyone? It's bad enough everyone apparently failed grade school grammar, but do you have to rape the English language WHILE hijacking someone's post? Maybe this is just par for the course but for f**k's sake...

Double posting on purpose now. The reason I haven't been playing with Valakut is because by the time you have 5 mountains down, you've won.

Oops, don't know how I double posted.

-4 Raging Goblin
-3 Dragon Whelps
-5 Artifacts
-2 Unstable Footings (Put em in the sideboard)
-8 Mountains

+4 Goblin Guide (2/2 for 1 is better than 1/1 for 1)
+4 Ball Lightning
+1 Elemental Appeal
+3 Volcanic Fallout
+2 Chandra Nalaar
+4 Teetering Peak
+4 Scalding Tarn

This will put the heat on your opponent much quicker, and the mana base will be smoother. I haven't playtested Valakuts yet. Also consider playing around with Quenchable Fire, as not many decks in Standard have access to blue mana sources.

No, Bloodbraid's a great card, just not in this deck. This runs more passively, so an aggressive card like that would kinda be off on its own. Also cascading into a Fireball would suck XD.
