Deck Description

How to Play

Use Neurok Transmuter and Memnarch to steal your opponents things while countering and bouncing when necessary.

Mycosynth Lattice is especially useful, and Neurok Transmuter is great for shrugging off artifact hate.

Deck discussion for MEMNARCH! THE TOOL TAKER!

Just wish Memnarch wasn't so expensive, mana wise.

Consider High Tide for mana ramp.
Will get Lattice and the Memnarch out much quicker, at least by a turn or two.
And maybe some "free" counterspells like Daze or Foil.
That way, when you do tap out of mana to play your Memnarch, your opponent won't be able to instantly nuke it.

Mind checking out this one?

I liked your reasoning with Foil, added Silent Departure and lost the Unsummon for the flashback factor as well. I'd add High Tide but everytime ive used it it never works out for me

High Tide is like Dark Ritual...great early to mid game it rocks.
Late game...it is useless.
I guess that is why most people only run 2 or 3 Dark Rituals or High Tides.

Foil rocks.
+1 like from me :)

There's a neat little infinite mana combo evolving "Grand Architect" and "Pili-Pala" - make Pili-Pala blue and via the Architect, it can now tap for 2CMC, Pili-Pala has the ability to UNTAP itself for 2CMC to add 1 mana of any color. Tap Pili-Pala again and make infinite mana, thereby utilizing Memnarch's powers and gain control of it all ^_^

If you're not into infinite combos, then I'd highly recommend "Unwinding Clock" making you untap everything - when having Mycosynth Lattice on the field - during each player's untap phase

All in all, looks good and a +1 from me

Try playing memnarch at end step using master transmuter
Tolarian academy + mycosinth lattice= lot of mana. Add to the mix filigree sages and you can steal everything
maybe adding hurkyl's recall is too nasty.
liquimetal coating ?

Academy is over powered..and banned/restricted.
I do love the card though. And it would be a powerhouse in this deck, for sure.

I agree with the above who are suggesting High Tide as ramp, it does work well once you get the feel for it. Try swapping in 3 maybe. I'd also take a look at Memory Lapse, Remand, or even Exclude, instead of Foil.

Finally, between the 6-7, instants and sorceries you are using for control, you may not quite have enough variety/utility in the deck. Consider pruning a few cards that you have 3 or 4 of, and adding maybe some Whispersilk Cloaks, Darksteel Forge, Darksteel Plate, Mind Control, Ray of Command, or Master Thief.

With Foil, it is tricky to your opponent.
You tap out to play your combo piece and your opponent nukes it!
However, if you have Foil, you tap out of mana to play your combo piece, your opponent realizes you are tapped out of mana and tries to nuke your combo piece, but you counter it with Foil.

Good game.
