I know I'm a real noob, so please forgive my comment if you find it uncorrect: why don't you add an Altar of Brood? It could give you another victory condition to bypass the mass removal problem. (Just my two cents. Probably wrong! ^^)

Simple deck to have fun with your friends. Nothing serious here. Comments are welcome!

Actually I find Thoughtseize to be way more powerful than Duress. The loss of lifepoints should be a minor drawback in a deck like this.

Trying to build a good deck using the counters mechanism. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Yes. Actually you can use that land as an unblockable finisher once you have Exquisite Blood and Vizkopa Guildmage in play: lay down this card to gain a single lifepoint and activate the combo. You can do this if you cannot gain lifepoints using your extort ability, Blood Artist, Orzhov Keyrune or Obzedat.

I like this deck mate, especially 'cause of One Thousand Lashes. Just a silly question: why don't use Godless Shrine instead of the gate?

I've just build this deck for a standard "4fun" tournament: it works quite well and it's really fun to play. It suffers from heavy mass removals and heavy control decks, but... who doesn't? =) I'm looking for some hints to improve it.
Comments are welcome!
