Deck Description

Deck is all about the Pariah's Shield Phytohydra combo.

The enchantments are all about not letting a Phytohydra die.

The instants are all about getting one in your hand and about not BEING countered / stuff blown up.

I don't feel like this deck will play fast enough. I tried to add some cheap walls and some mana accelerators, but don't feel it'll work yet.

Deck discussion for Working? Phytohydra

why don't you try using Vigor instead of phytohydra. They have the same abilities and Vigor is a 6/6 for 6 mana and phytohydra is a 1/1 for 5. Also if the opponent doesn't damage the phytohydra and just uses burn or mill then you have almost no way to win. they will just take the one damage and ignore the phytohydra. you could also use something like pyrohemia. that way you could use your mana to kill all your opponents creatures and buff your phytohydra or vigor.

Vigor is a different ability.

Unless I'm missing something about burn decks (I could be, I'm pretty new) The Pariah's shield should take all damage. Including spells and trample damage?

In actual fact Pariah's Shield states all damage so yes even that from spells, mana burn and trample is transfered on the equipped creature.
