Hi, i'm trying to make an edh deck that is designed to get as much value for sacrificing shadowborn apostles as possible and I need your help. I have only been playing edh for 6 months and standard a year and a bit so don't have much knowledge of older cards and sets. At the moment to get this to work i've got:[[Dictate of erbos]][[Grave Pact]][[Martyr's Bond]][[Harvester of souls]][[Xathrid Necromancer]][[Teysa, Orzhov Scoin]][[Overseer of the Damned]] (Dictate of erbos + Grave Pact + Martyr's Bond + Anything that enters the battlefield from shadowborn sacrifices and kills stuff)I'm trying to find more combos that can be made from shadowborn apostles and sacrificing them so any suggestions would be great. Anything that doesn't combo is there to try and put the final nail in the coffin and is also open to suggestions. :Dnote: The sideboard is just cards i was thinking of putting in but didn't make the final cut.
Play as many shadowborn apostles as possible before turn 3, then play atheros. After this you want to get six shadow born apostles as fast as possible so that you can play Rune-Scarred Demon and fetch Dictate of erbos. When sacrificing creatures always choose the player with the least life to deice if you should get the Shadowborns back (Also trying to create a dark aliance here is a sweet tactic). If you have the Dictate in hand play Grave Pact, or Martyr's Bond instead.At this time you should have the mana to play it (This will be turn five or 4). If you don't have the mana to play it, play more Shadowborn Apostles, or grave pact if you have it in hand.From here you want to increase your draws, so you should sacrifice Shadowborn apostles for demons that contribute to drawing. Also playing Underworld connections is a good idea as it gives you another draw each turn. Don't be afraid to use skull clamp on your shadowborn apostles for dem lovely low mana cost draws.Now it's time to play immortal servitude and your token generators: Rotlung reanimator, Xathrid Necromancer, Teysa, and Orzhov Scion.Finally it's time for Grey merchant of ass and your bigger big demons. To get them out fast and attacking straight away use lightning greaves (The shroud just makes that card work perfectly here because if you make it to this point and weren't the target your going to be now).
