12 Decks, 5 Comments, 0 Reputation

Alright, I have a full report now! Let's set the stage before getting into the breakdown of this wonderfully fun deck. I did use the exact deck as listed above, and I played about 10 games with it against varying levels of decks (some where janky for fun and others where built to win). Now my play group is pretty casual, but we all have decks that are considered higher tier (no one has like tournament level decks though). Into the breakdown:

Overall:
This deck is amazingly fun and exciting for anyone that loves to be aggressive and put the pressure on your opponents. Your equipments are the biggest value in the deck, so make sure to always have some ready. The card draw is also incredible with the commander and that caused me to rarely have less than 5 cards in my hand at any time during the games.

Cons:
Deck is not what you'd probably consider to be fast; especially with the commander costing 6 (She's also quite the target as you can guess, and paying 8 the next time is rough). It can be even worse if you don't get your equipments out or have them in your hand when you finally play the commander. The games that I did lose, it was usually due to only drawing one equipment that game, or not getting my other knights onto the field fast enough to generate value. I'd suggest having one or two equipments in your starting hand if you want a decent shot right away. Also, the biggest weakness of this deck is flyers. There is nearly no response to those in the deck (with the exception of Khorvath). Another bummer is that there is a lot less mana ramp with these colors (however, with all the card draw, sword of the animist, and knight of the white orchard I always caught back up and some times had more lands than everyone else)

Pros (end on a positive note here):
The commander value is incredible! If you have a couple of knights and equipments out when you cast her, all the sudden they are equipped, attacking, your drawing a couple of cards, and now you're set up for next turn, or play something else after the attack, etc. Plus, you can move the equipment after attacking as well, so now your commander is buffed for defense while the others may be tapped. Lifelink is one of your biggest friends in this deck because it mitigates/eliminates that lose one life effect from drawing the card off the commander, and since it's a slower deck, you may be shorter on life before the engine starts going. Once the engine goes though, it's nearly impossible to stop it! Helm of the host with the commander will win you games nearly instantly, as will Godsend (since they have to double block you anyway, you get to exile on of those creatures before you destroy the other). At one point I also got into an indestructible fight, and the only reason I won it was because of how many knights I was able to produce over my opponent (sigiled sword of valeron will never let you down). Felt like my target removal was also there when I needed it, or I had an answer to go find them when I needed to.

I really enjoyed this deck, and it quickly became on of my favorite decks that I have gotten to build and play :) For a casual player I think this deck is everything you are going to want, with enough value to keep you going through any fight. People tend not to think much about what you are doing at the beginning due to you being slower than some, but then they pay for that later on when you swing with 5 knights, 3 are equiped, drawing you 3, then one has menace, then they are losing 3 or 4 creatures that turn, you still have blockers, then you change up equipments for free...You get the point ;) Hope this helped! Please let me know any other questions you have about it!

I have not yet because the brawl decks just came out today. However, I will be playing it tonight, and will keep you updated.

I didn't even notice that at all to be honest. Just thought you were trying to help me out was all. At first I was confused, but when I saw the deck had like 120 something cards in it I realized why you said it. No worries!

Yeah, for some reason the deck glitched and when I added Blackblade Reforged into it and put 2 in, then when I added back in the mountains, it doubled those as well. The deck is comprised at exactly 99 cards and 1 commander for 100 cards. Thanks for catching that though so I could fix the error.

I hadn't thought of that from the new Dominaria set. Definitely something I will have to put into this deck. Thanks for the tip!
