The deck is built around it's namesake, Apocalypse. It is built to minimize the drawbacks and recover quicly from the game's biggest reset button. The deck controls early with direct damage and small, versatile creatures, then suspend a Gargadon and casts Apocalypse. Respond to the Apocalypse by sacrificing all permanents to remove counters from the Gargadon, ideally being able to swing with it next turn. Notes: The Mogg Maniac deals damage to the opponent when you Earthquake or Pyroclasm. The Hellspark Elemental can be "stored" in the graveyard until after an Apocalypse. The Murderous Redcap can be sacrificed to the Goblin Grenade and come back into play for a total of 8 direct damage.
