Deck discussion for Zombieland

1 Just because you have zombie cards in a deck dosen't make it a good zombie deck

2 Remove Maggot Carrier, Warpath Ghoul, Twisted Abomination, Scathe Zombies, and Grave digger
-There are lots of better cards than 2/2s and 2/3s with no abilities.

3 Put in 4 Corpse Harvesters. They are very usefull. They help you get out things like lord of the undead and cemetery reaper. Yes they require you to sacrifice a creature, but we can turn that into a good thing (They also help get swamps out)

4 Replace the Maggot Carrier with Festering Goblin. He costs only one which means he will be good to sacrifice. After you sacrifice him you can get him back out with the Lord of the Undead that you just replaced him with for only 3 mana. also when you sacrifice him you can give another target creature
-1/-1 untill end of turn. He will definately be the one you sacrifice to Corpse Harvester.

5 To make sacrificing your creatures an even better thing I suggest you put in a grave pact. This will pretty much undermine any deck accept for one that spews tokens everywhere.

6 You need more cards with the ability of that on Lord of the Undead or Cemetery Reaper. Put in some Death Barons, and Undead Warchief is really great too.

7 To take advantage of all these zombie pump-ups Dauthi Ghoul will be great. It's a zombie with shadow. in my zombie deck i've been able to get him up to a 5/5 consistantly.

8 Now if your still not content with the amount of damage you can be doing a Gempalm Polluter is really great. You can pay 2, cycle him, and deal damage to an opponent equal to the number of zombies in play. That'll effectively deal 4-8 damage. you can also use lord of the undead to bring him back to your hand. -rinse and repeat-

9 Because Lord of the undead shouldn't be the only means of getting creatures back into play add some necromantic thirsts. they can be equipped to the Dauthi Ghouls for a creature back every turn.

10 and incase i missed something you can look at my zombie deck where I have used all of these strategies and more. it's totally kick-ass

I didnt like the tone of your opening statement, so I didnt care much about the rest of what you had to say. But looking at your "kickass" zombie deck, I see two cards I'd like to use. Death Baron and Undead Warchief are nice cards, and honestly I had never seen either before. The rest of your deck is expensive fluff. This is a copy of a deck that I play, because its what I have, not what I look around on MTGVault to find and stick in there. My deck isnt built around sacrificing shit either, if it were I may look at some of the stuff you have. Not ALL creatures have to have an ability. Sometimes simplicity is better than over complicated shit that may not happen in the game at all. My deck is built to be moderately fast with buffs and creature return. I dont need to sac. them to bring them back, I'll let them do what damage they can, block what enemies they can, and if they go into the graveyard, I'll bring them back out with what I have easy enough.

don't say "overcomplicated shit that may never happen in the game at all" because i designed the deck so that it had enough combos that something great has to happen.

And even if you don't put the other stuff in there Dauthi ghoul could still make a great addition (:

For the name of the deck alone, you get my vote!

I love to run with Death Baron and Undead Warchief as well. I also planned mine around getting Phylactery Lich out with Indestructible artifacts and then give it Shroud. If you ever want to add another color to the deck, you should consider blue which will give you the option to utilize Lich Lord of Unx. Another great zombie that I love! Best of luck!

I do agree with likethat were some zombies could be replaced.

1. Maggot Carrier for Festering Goblin would be an easier trade off.
2. You do have Severed Legion in your side deck, why not switch it for the Scathe Zombies so you have the Fear in there.
3. Warpath Ghoul is a nice little 3/2 for 3 mana but I am not a big fan of it. I am a fan of Shepherd of Rot on the other hand. It costs one less and deals damage for each zombie you have on the field. Combos great with Cemetary Reaper spawning Zombies for you.

Also check the Lord of Undeath, gets boosts from all you other zombie boosters. (just incase you didn't know)

I know if wanted to have a card with an ability for every creature in this deck it would be better. Creatures with abilities tend to be better as a whole. But as I said, this is what was I had when I made the deck. I can use the card search feature like the rest of you, and I can find better cards to replace what I have. But I don't own thise cards, yet. I do appreciate it if your trying to help me build a better deck, but if I wanted to post the best zombie deck ever I wouldn't have put up what I did. The psot likethat left resounded of "I am superior to you" so I blasted it. The others seem to be of good intent, I think. If not, then who really cares. But I do thank those of you that have shown me cards I hadn't seen before.
